My LG Laundry Dryer does sometimes get stuck around 11 minutes, why is this?

symptom Symptom

The timer gets stuck at 11 minutes, and then continues.

cause Cause

This is a normal occurence - the dryer checks the drynesss when there is around 11 minutes left of the cycle, and then decides whether it needs more time to dry or not.

If the dryer needs more time, the remaining time will change depending on the wetness of the clothes.

Otherwise, the remaining time will change to 10 minutes to start the cooling cycle.

The drying time for a load will vary depending on the heat setting, the size of the load, the types of fabric, the wetness of the clothes and the condition of the lint filter.

It is also normal for the timer to change at different points in the cycle/the minute mark to stick for a few minutes at different points of the cycle. This is becuase the unit will repeatedly check the humidity level in the machine to determine the time remaining to complete the cycle.
