Is it a thumping noise at the start of a cycle thar goes away?

The drum sits on roller wheels. Periods of no use between cycles can cause the weight of the drum to make small flat spots where the drum is resting on these rolls. These flat spots, once the drum starts rotating, will smooth out after a few minutes, and the thumping will stop.

Is it a thumping noise?

Is it a muffled thumping noise?

This could be caused by items in the drum getting twisted and balled up. This will prevent proper tumbling. When the ball or twisted item reaches the top of the drum, it will just drop down to the bottom with a thud. This can also cause vibrations. Open the door and untwist the items.
