My PC / Input device is connected correctly, so why has my monitor gone into power save mode?

 

Symptom Symptom

         My monitor is going into power save mode, even though the PC/input device has

              been correctly connected.

 

Cause  Possible Cause

            1) The wrong input port has been selected on the monitor.

            2) The PC / input device has been set to a high resolution setting for your particular

                monitor does not support.

     

    How to Fix How to Fix

     

           1) Double check the correct input port has been selected

           2) Reduce the graphics card resolution to match the monitor specification
