A Well Specified and Powerful Tablet After a lot of research I bought this tablet for it's high spec and also based on my good experience with another LG product, a LG Optimus 4X HD mobile phone. I have installed some processing hungry games and was very pleased with the smoothness of how all the games flowed. The HD screen is excellent, I don't know if it's crisp or not, because I didn't stand on it. I did find however, that the brightness, contrast and colour accuracy were all top notch, which is what you need in a screen. Media is well supported, I have watched a number of full HD videos and also was very pleased that the device supported the lossless music I have encoded from my CDs. For some reason Flacs did not show song progress, which they do on my phone, but they sounded great. The sound quality from all media is first class. Build quality is also good and I particularly like the addition of the aluminium backplate, although it makes the tablet a bit slippy. Sound from the speakers is decent for a device of this type, but like all of these things I will never use it like that, preferring external speakers My only moan with LG products is the operating system upgrades. My phone had one and that was it and as this device has already had its upgrade from Jelly bean to Kitkat, I am not expecting another. If the device can handle an upgrade they should be made available for customers. Some of us buy our products outright and not on contract. LG may get better customer loyalty as a result. 16 March 2015
As good as I pad I have several windows Pcs including Netbook. I was looking for a tablet for some time to be less bulky than laptop and with longer battery staying power but with larger screen than smartphone for air travel. I was not prepared to pay apple premium price and also lack of access to additional SD card. I have not been disappointed by the G Pad. Display clarity is good plays films in HD with no lag at all. Flawless browsing internet with minimal lag. Sinchronised immediately with google play account on android phone though some apps I would prefer to remove if I could without causing sinc issues. There is no HDMI output but there are connection cables that allow this, though I have yet to try. Overall very pleased at the moment. 26 February 2015

Great Tablet I got this tablet after owning a Nexus 7. And it refusing to boot 15 days out of warranty and Assus telling me to go buy a new one, well never again, having a Lg smart tv, my thoughts were Lg Tablet, My Brother in Law purchased a Lg V500 at the same time last year and Boy do I wish I had listened to him regarding its excellance!! This Lg V500 is far superior in my opinion, than the Nexus 7 I even like the larger screen, my top most one is the fact you can add extra memory,Nice for storing pics of the Grandchildren. Also open more than one page at a time, This one feature is delightful. I am not a wiz at using technology being a senior . but I can get my head around this tablet'. I just love it. Mrs J.
