VERY GOOD AT FIRST This machine has been very good, but we've had it 14 months now, and put up with "empty water container fault", when it isn't even plumbed in. We've had one call out so far, and the condensate pump had black threads inside it, which affected the operation. This was cleaned, and the fault reappeared the next day, so a 3 hour ECO cycle stops after 2 hours. Rang up for another call out, and they never turned up, and when questioned said it needed the fridge compressor needed re-gassing, and that'll be next week...10 days later!! Utter codswallop, the pump has a limit switch, and the lines are not blocked. We shall see what happens, but if it does need re-gassing, LG can have it back! I am genuinely disappointed that a machine of this quality & price is faulty, and by comparison a Hotpoint SensorMatic in the same household worked great for 7 years, never broke down, and was 50% cheaper. 12 December 2014
This is a poor machine and expensive machine I bought this as I have an excellent LG washing machine. It struggles to dry clothes and wraps them into a wet ball, creasing them on the way. So far I have not been given good customer support and it was suggested I should get tumble drier balls and 'balance the load'. None of this has made any difference. LG should go back to the drawing board on this one. 02 December 2014
Useless product, awful service Had this dryer about 4 weeks. Cannot dry a simple load of bedding (one king-size cotton duvet cover with bottom sheet, 4 pillow cases plus a few towels and t-shirts), as much as my MATCHING LG washing machine can manage. Each time the whole lot becomes tangled into a Gordian knot that takes two of us to untangle. So of course it doesn't dry and the machine goes on and on. I daren't leave it alone for more than 1/2 an hour. I've called LG twice and they've been unhelpful to the point of rudeness. All they could say was there's nothing wrong with the machine, I'm not loading it full enough. They say the machine's fine, it "just doesn't do what you want it to. Try getting some dryer balls". What? Doesn't dry a bedding set and towels? How unusual an ask is that? I've had many (cheaper) machines that coped admirably with that simple task. I'm not running a chinese laundry service here so I don't expect to have to load the machine with "the equivalent of 10 bath towels" every time I want clean bedding. Thank goodness I bought it from John Lewis. They at least have decent customer service so perhaps it can be returned. I have a number of LG products and have always found them to be good quality, reliable and with great features so I've never had to experience the 'tough luck' customer service before. After this experience I won't be buying anything else from LG. 01 December 2014
outstading machine if a little overpriced. My LG tumble dryer broke down on Christmas Eve and with 9 people coming to stay I could not be without. I have quite a few LG products in the home and rely on their quality and reliability. We, therefore, decided to replace a much used and valued machine with yet another LG. If it proves to be as good as the one it's replaced we will have many years service from it. 08 January 2014
