LG poor customer service
I bought this tv and it developed a fault
To date LG took it back once after many phone calls
Then they retuned tv back with same fault after having it for ten days
They told me to contact the shop I purchased it from
This has now been away four times to be repaired they won't replace the tv despite it having ben away for repair and returned with the same fault
The tv switches itself on from standby. A fire risk ,,
LG dont care and in fact blamed an extension lead then HDMI cables for switching the tv on
Don't buy from LG if you think you have to use their customer service
Because they treat you as though you are stupid.

NOT FOR GAMERS
I was looking for a new, bigger and better tv to replace my old one mostly to be used for gaming, however it produces lag on the tv from what i do on the controller to what appears. This is very annoying and i would not recommend.
Besides gaming this tv is very good, quality and 3D is excellent.

Perfect introduction to 3D TV
I purchased this particular set after reading many positive reviews online and because the Cinema 3D feature appealed to me most out of all out of the myriad of 3D Tv's currently available on the market. The first thing that surprised me was the sleek box it comes in, however, it does mean that you have to assemble the base of the TV yourself (no biggie though as just means you have to use a screwdriver & the 8 screws provided). Switching on the Tv for the first time was simplicity itself and because I have cable Tv rather than using the Freeview installed, it picked up the cable channel instantly without me having to tune the set in etc. Same with my 3D blu-ray player through one of the HDMI sockets, one press of the button and hey presto. Watching Puss in Boots 3D confirmed that I had made the correct choice in buying this set, as the picture and colours were all superb and the passive glasses provided are both lightweight and comfy (and slip easily over my own spectacles also). The sound is good, although I do plan on purchasing a soundbar in the near future for that full home cinema treatment. Watching normal 2D programmes is equally satisfying, with good quality visuals and vibrant colours in abundance. I don't think the set I bought had Smart Tv functions (?) but I already have these via my blu-ray player anyway, so it wasn't a high priority for me. Overall, if you are thinking of purchasing a 3D Tv then I would highly recommend giving the LW450U range of sets some serious consideration (especially at current prices available from some outlets) - you won't be disappointed if you do !
