Rated 2 out of 5 by Evelyn P Tremble Excellent TV but poor HDMI
Had the TV for 4 years with exceptional service. Then one day the HDMI ports stopped working. Looked on multiple sites and it appears to be a very common problem. Pity that such a feature-rich TV should use poor components. 4 years of excellent service is undone by what appears to be a simple failure of a common part. I'm left with a TV that still works very well for 60% of functionality but fails to do what I bought it for - displaying HDMI inputs.

Bought this as a replacement and after a year a cannot fault it for it's sound or visual experiance. As with most tv''s now this has loads of features but many go unsused, It has the HD freeview channels which was its selling point to me in the first place. My only niggle it i feel the stand for it is not quite man enough and the weight of the tv tends to make it lean back, easyily resolved by putting a couple of place mats underneaathe the rear of the stand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DGandLG High quality for a budet price.
I've owned this tv for nearly a year and although prices are coming down as technolagy improves i still paid less for this back then, than what the equivalent size and specked tv would cost today. Packed full of features and apps (only available if connected to the net via dongle, which i am not# it certainly offers a lot more for your money. The picture is unquestionably bright and clear, even with the fact its facing a window, the reflections dont interupt viewing pleasure. Sound quality is very good and even though i have full cinema i often dont use it because the tv's own speakers are very loud and has good clarity. It has the hd freeview channels which produce crystal clear viewing only accreditted to full 1080p HD. Connectivity to this tv was perfect when using my slighty older Sony home cinema system but then i upgraded it all to a new LG AV setup with seperate Bluray # idea being one remote for all which i now have instead of 3 different ones..# only because of the more moddern technolagy a few more wires were required, as the tv didnt have ARC #audio return channel# thus i needed a optical cable to return the tv sound through to the av amplifier. Instead off just one hdmi for all.
My only niggles with this set is one, with the epg guide, i have not found away and dont think it is possible to remove unwated channels from the guide, although channels can be locked ide rather them not be there, my old sony bravia i was able to remove any unwanted channels completely. Also the epg screen i think needs to be full screen rather than P.I.P style #picture in picture) i.e when you get the menu up its a slightly smaller frame which apperas inside the viewing picture and being slightly opaque, thus giving the idea that you can still maintain viewing the current channel!. Not for me, makes reading the epg confusing and off putting with images moving around the ouside and between the guide lines on the menu itself. My other niggle is with the way the tv sits on its stand and kind off tilt backwards, ive curred it by stacking a couple of place mats underneath the rear of the stand, but still i think a redesign may be needed, and of course if its wall mounted it wouldn't make any differance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by icoleman_uk Great TV, forget NetCast.
TV has great picture, reasonable sound and some useful features.
DLNA only supports pulling content from a DLNA enabled media server, it doesn't support the ability to "push" content from a DLNA enabled device such as a smartphone.
NetCast works OK, but is a bit laggy. Also LG seem to have dropped the ball on this one. This TV hasn't had an update in over a year of me owning it so there is no new "channels" in the NetCast menu. Would be nice to have seen extras such as Netflix etc. Also YouTube "App" is horrible. Don't buy this tv if this feature is important to you.
This TV is good overall and worth the money, but I would probably get the version without the NetCast and use the money saved to put towards an external media/smart tv box such as the Roku or Apple TV.
