Bought this as a replacement and after a year a cannot fault it for it's sound or visual experiance. As with most tv''s now this has loads of features but many go unsused, It has the HD freeview channels which was its selling point to me in the first place. My only niggle it i feel the stand for it is not quite man enough and the weight of the tv tends to make it lean back, easyily resolved by putting a couple of place mats underneaathe the rear of the stand.

Great TV, forget NetCast.
TV has great picture, reasonable sound and some useful features.
DLNA only supports pulling content from a DLNA enabled media server, it doesn't support the ability to "push" content from a DLNA enabled device such as a smartphone.
NetCast works OK, but is a bit laggy. Also LG seem to have dropped the ball on this one. This TV hasn't had an update in over a year of me owning it so there is no new "channels" in the NetCast menu. Would be nice to have seen extras such as Netflix etc. Also YouTube "App" is horrible. Don't buy this tv if this feature is important to you.
This TV is good overall and worth the money, but I would probably get the version without the NetCast and use the money saved to put towards an external media/smart tv box such as the Roku or Apple TV.

Relented at last
I have thought for many years that televisions over 21" were a bit show-offish, but we have gradually upped the sizes through 29/32/36 to the aforementioned 42" LG and the result is brilliant!!
Most of our rooms are too small to accommodate such a monster, but we have managed to find a space for it: not on the wall, as so many people have their 'home cinemas', but at normal level.
Anyway,we love the picture quality, the clean design, the ease of registering the product and of course the bargain price. No doubt it has been superceded many times over but it suits our purpose very well. Wii tennis is a hoot!
Superb value for money!.
