Rated 4 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Problem tv It won't turn on it is not even two years old and has stopped working I do not expect this from a fairly new model and TV it is going to cost me to fix it and I won't buy lg products again 05 November 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great TV for the price I just bought this TV from Currys in Carrickmines, Dublin. I didn't expect too much for the price, at €370 but it really has a lot to offer. I have been able to do away with my satellite box which is excellent. The picture quality is great and it is very easy to use overall. 02 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Picture & Easy to Use Bought this tv for a bargain £279 from currys on Boxing Day. Set up was so easy and it looks great. First programme i watched was a Football match on a HD channel and the picture quality was outstanding! I would highly recommend this tv to anyone. 31 December 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by An absolute bargain! So it's Christmas and I'm out on Boxing Day morning at Sainsburys . . I see that the sales have started and that they have a Samsung 40" LED television for £299! It's £150 off rrp and immediately I'm thinking, that's a great deal. I get back home and tell the rest of the family, and we're not even in the market for a new tv, but these prices seem too good to be true. We've all been extremely happy with our Toshiba 32" LCD Regza for the past 4 years and in terms of picture quality and outputs it takes some beating for DVDs, TV and Gaming. But I have to say that these new LED panels look fantastic, I'm not into 3D, so that'll never be an option. Anyway, my youngest daughter starts Googling and suddenly announces that there's an LG 42" LED Full HD TV with every output we need: 2 HDMI Virgin TIVO box & PS3, Composite plus Audio, Optical for the sound system, USB etc . . . available in the Sales at Currys for a mindnumbing . . . . £279!!!! Internet reviews look great for these models and it's a smart looking piece of kit as well, so off we toddle to the local Currys to take a look. After a check to make sure it has everything we need, we pay and make our way back home. On taking it out of the box, we assemble the stand, pop it onto our unit, plug everything in, switch it on and we're good to go. On turning it on we select the inputs and Virgin comes up immediately, next is the DVD and then try out the optical out for audio. Everything is so easy to set up, it's a real breeze. Now we're onto the real reason we bought it . . . it's a fantastic size and the picture quality is awesome, much better than in the store. There's no blocking, no ghosting, no lag on moving images and the colour and definition is superb. We already own an LG monitor for the PC so we know what kind of quality they offer, but we're all really impressed with the whole look of this television. The menu is easy to negotiate and there are presets for picture and audio and an eco set up as well. Having only had it a few days I can honestly say it is an absolute bargain! We've watched standard television programmes, in normal and HD, and we've watched DVDs as well and it delivers on all accounts. The film "Rise of the Guardians" on DVD was a Cinematic experience, up there with our recent visit to an IMAX showing of The Hobbit. Good sound is also very achievable with the onboard speakers, but to really get the most from it, then use the Optical output . . it's excellent. This TV will serve us very well for the foreseeable future, and if you see one anywhere, especially at this price then I recommend you don't hesitate, just buy it! 28 December 2013
