Failed just out of warranty
My Tv failed 14months after purchase. LG costumer service were very unhelpful with me because I was over the 12 month warranty. Should your tv fail after its warranty period dont expect any help from LG.

Excellent when set up correctly
For a while, I used to set up professional displays (many years ago) so am very critical on how real a display can look.
I found the out of the box, the performance of the lg picture tone was inconsistant. (colour tracking)It took a while to work out which colours were set incorrectly as different ones seemed to over modulate at different light settings and the grey scale initial adjustments seemed to drift after switch off. Numerous software updates and understanding that the luminance settings have a big influence on the overall colour balance,mean, that the I have been able to set up this unit over time to be a real giant killer.(Not sure if its the software updates or me)
Colours are natural,(the red magenta hue is completely erased) contrast is good and when you take the cost v performance ratiio this is a very hard set to beat. Recording works brilliantly as do the smart functions. Overall truly very good but you have to be methodical about setup. A lovely product which can truly mix it with the high end allbeit with a bit of effort.

easy to use
Brilliant brilliant brilliant.......was nervous to spend such a large amount of money on a tv (the wife took some persuading) but not one regret. Picture quality great sound is ok but could do with a sound bar to enhance the movies.

Average to good tv
Generally a good tv only issue is it looses focus at times in hd and and the picture can become blurry
