An ok tv but not great
Sometimes the picture quality is just rubbish despite trying different settings.

A good all round TV
On the plus side I now have a TV that has one of the best pictures I have seen in a long time without selling body parts to afford it.
The user setting is excellent, just being able to remove the TV channels that some bureaucrat decided to put next to the Children's channels is a god send!
Regular software updates for the TV seem to keep it in tip top condition. The Duel Play is amazing, which is good because this is the main reason for buying this TV in the first place.
On the down side, I have no idea what the software updates actually do, also can't seem to watch 4od as it says there are plugin's missing?
Not the end of the world.
All in all a very good set, Love LG and have had them for the past 10 years or so.

What a Whopper!
MASSIVE screen, looks superb in any HD content, but is let down only slightly by SD resolution, (probably because it is such a huge size). Also motion lag is sometimes noticeable even on highest setting of motion clarity. Still fiddling with the settings on these two issues.
On-line content is excellent and hours of fun, but for the price wi-fi should be built in, (Come on LG, see equivalent Samsung), also having the dongle stuck out the side is a bit unsightly.
The whole Passive / Active debate rages on, but honestly, 3D is great, with real depth and clarity, despite being passive and the glasses are so comfy! A friends Samsung Active 3D gave me such a headache after just 10mins!
I have an LG HX966TZ Home Cinema plumbed in and combined, the 2 produce an unparalleled Audio / Video experience. 3D Blu ray and 1100W 5.1 is 'jaw dropping'!
Plenty of connections, including USB and 4 x HDMI, a real 'must have' with all the gadgets and boxes to hook up.
The kids love the dual screen mode for gaming, no more cheating to see where the other player is!
Overall it's a beast of a TV, with some excellent features, at a very reasonable price. My friends are quite envious!

I picked up the LG 42LM620T in a bank holiday sale, and I must admit, I did little research other than reading other reviews.
My first impressions were...wow. Just taking out of the box was fun, fixing the stand and then placing it in the room. It replaced an older LCD 37" TV so the first impression was the screen size and surround size, it looks great! Then after a very quick and easy config we got to watching some HD content via Freeview and it is awesome! The colours are stunning. It was a little harder to test the 3D as I have no 3D TV channels, but via my small black TV box made by a company whose name is a fruit, connected to my new TV I was able to stream some LG demo material from YouTube.
This simply blew our minds! The 3D tech is branded Cinema 3D, and true to this we used our own Real3D glasses from the cinema which work great with the TV!
The 3D effect is th best I have encountered, and I have used both Active and Passive 3D.
I would recommend this TV with no hesitation.
