Bought this 4 years ago and has been a good machine. Would agree that on heavy loads the wash is not great so tend to 3/4 fill the machine. When I bought it there was a 10 year warranty on the machine for motor. So now the motor is playing up and as the machine is outside of its warrant of 2 years the service from LG is one of apathy and disinterest. The 3rd party I have to deal with only services the NE so subcontracts to my area - midlands. Looks like 2 weeks to just get an engineer to attend! Reconsidering if I purchase from LG ever again!

Why oh why when the machine is on a balanced floor does it take countless times of taking washing out dripping all over floor put washing back in & still will not spin
I bought this machine because of its large capacity but it NEVER spins properly when only 1/2 full
Do not buy unless you want to spend most of your life rebalancing washing load
My previous LG was great this one is the pits

I've had the out of balance issue since I bought this. In the beginning it occurded very seldom so me and my family could live with it. Now, 3 years later the "out of balance" issue happends almost every time, over and over again.
When calling LG in Sweden they just answer "We have a fee of 250 £ for solving the issue". Upon answering that it seems to be a well known issue and that I've seen the issue since day one they did simply not get back. Lousy customer service (at least in Sweden).

Just after it's third birthday the machine gave up with a groan and an "LE" error code on the display, which according to the manual implies a problem with the direct drive motor.
The DD motor is guaranteed for 10 years, but on contacting LG customer support, discovered that it is just the part that is warranted, not the labour costs or call out charge. What use is that?
Going for a Samsung Ecobubble with FULL 5 year warranty instead.
Such a shame, as it was great while it lasted.
