Answer:
I was wondering the same thing. I emailed my electric company and gave them the info on it, they asked me to tell them the info on the side panel of the unit. They said it wasnt good, and it is a energy hog. They told me what it will approx. cost to run the unit a month. Well, they were close they said 28.00, and it was 30.00. It isnt a energy saver at all. The window ones are the best . We had one and our bill only went up 2.00. So contact your electric company they will be glad to help you. The info is on the side of the unit.

Why isn't the compressor coming on right away every time?

I bought this product 1 to 1 1/2 years ago and lately when we turn it on it seems the compressor isn't kicking on because it doesn't get cold right away. I try turning it off, unplugging it, cycling through the modes and finally it will turn on then you hear the compressor turn on and it gets cold. Any idea whats causing this?

Answer:
Unplugging/power loss will delete the programing(temp setting, etc). Set temp, fan speed, mode. Power on. The fan will come on and sensors will check your temp setting then the compressor will start when needed.

Answer:
There is a small drain spout on bottom in the back of unit with a cap that unscrews. You need something like a cake pan or something with lower edges to drain it into.

Answer:
This product has a self-evaporative system. The condensing water will be recycled to cool the condenser. This can not only improve cooling efficiency, but also save energy for you.

1. If the inside water is full, the display panel will display “FL”, and the compressor will stop running.
2. Please turn the machine off and move the machine to the place where can drain water, and then unplug the water-draining hole. After drainage, you can power it on and the machine will run again.
3. When the internal water collection tank is full, the air conditioner will turn off until the tank is emptied.
• Unplug the air conditioner, disconnect the exhaust hose from the back, and move the air conditioner to a suitable drain location or outdoors. You may also place a pan under the drain that will hold up to 1 quart of water.
• Remove the drain cap from the drain outlet.
• Once the water collection tank is drained, reinstall the drain cap, making sure it is on securely.
• Place the air conditioner in the desired location, reconnect the exhaust hose, and plug in the air conditioner.

Not really an installation kind of person? Don’t worry. Most of us aren’t. That’s why we make portable air conditioners. This one has 7,000 BTUs, multiple fan speeds and even a programmable 24-hour timer. Which means you can control the temperature even when you’re not there. Cool, huh?
