Rated 4 out of 5 by dp.thnkr Worth it!
Sleek design, easy set-up, cools down average size room fairly quickly, just a bit noisy (like white noise turned up) but still worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rob Willie Good for small rooms
Using in a bedroom (11' x 11') and works well. It is small enough that it doesn't intrude on the available space and allows movement around the room without causing interruption to traffic flow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ron78 Easy setup even in an oddball slider bedroom windo
Simple to setup, simple to operate. A little loud for the bedroom but getting used to it. It's very efficient!

Rated 5 out of 5 by mammyof9 This ac is very good.
I use this portable ac in a small bedroom. It is very cool...sometimes even cold. We have been having many 90 degree and higher days with humidity and the unit has kept the room very cool. I am very happy with it.

I was shocked to read all the great reviews on this product. This is the 2nd summer we are using this product. First off, whats up with the music it makes when you turn it off or no? It wakes us up. Stupid. It doesnt work if the temp is over 80 outside. It was 82 in our room, I put it on high for 8 hours and it never got below 72. It cost alot to run it also. Our bill goes up 30.00 a month. I had a small window unit that cost 98.00 and it got our room down to 60..we like it no warmer than 65 in the room. This unit was expensive and what a disappointment. Its the right size for our bedroom, we made sure. 8 hours running and only 72....we were hot. But if it is under 80 outside it works ok, it will get to 62, the lowest settings. It was 87 yesterday and it didnt work. A unit should cool when its hot, thats the point of it. I am going back to the window unit, at least we will be cool. What a waste of money. Last year we had temps in the 90's all summer, and it never got below 74. Horrible. I think we will just junk it. Also the features are so bright we had to put tape over them. And the music thing...cant turn it off. LOL. Its a joke. Wish I had good luck with mine like the people on here. Maybe mine has a problem??????

Rated 3 out of 5 by Tom OK, but a little underpowered for my situation
I installed this AC in a Fifth wheel in hopes of using the roof AC less. I'm keeping the doors closed the the bathroom and fifth wheel area and using it in the living/dining area, and it is just barely keeping up in about 90 degree weather. I probably won't be able to use it on the hottest summer days. BTW, if you are considering using it for this type of application, the window vent kit will probably not work for you. I purchases a 5" diameter wall vent (also from HD) to vent it to the outside, which required cutting a hole in the side. Not difficult, but something to have in mind. The exhaust works fine. This AC would be fine in areas not quite as extreme as Texas in the summer.
