Decent portable AC
Date:June 1, 2011
Best Features: Style/Design, easy to use, small footprint
"This 9,000 BTU air conditioner is a good deal for the price. It's a bit noisy but no more so than the average AC in this range. It works well and is small enough to fit into just about any space. I bought it for the size and energy rating and I am satisfied with the purchase."

Wow....
Date:May 13, 2011
Best Features: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use
"Pros: Easy to install. Easy to use. Easy to move. Keeps room comfortable.
Cons: When it is really hot, it doesn't cool the room as well as I would like. The condensation is a huge problem. The evap. system does not work. Cannot run without draining once a day. The water doesn't stay in the well and flows over the sides into the entire bottom of the unit, even after attaching a drain hose. It has been such a problem, that the water that escapes the well, leaks through the bottom of the unit where the casters are attached and onto our floor, which in turn has warped our sub flooring and ruined the carpet. To solve the water issue, we have put a tray under the unit to catch the water and drain the unit every day.
The unit works very well otherwise but it is not worth the price we paid.
My advice, purchase the stores replacement plan!
If the evap. problem were solved,I would recommend this unit. As of now, I would not.

Needs Improvement
Date:April 28, 2011
Best Features: Performance
"Very noisy, no thru the wall kit provided, only a two speed fan and not much difference from High and Low, needs longer cord and hose as it should be portable.
Plus side... cools very well, just very noisy in start and stop of compressor."

Not really an installation kind of person? Don’t worry. Most of us aren’t. That’s why we make portable air conditioners. This one has 9,000 BTUs, multiple fan speeds and even a programmable 24-hour timer. Which means you can control the temperature even when you’re not there. Cool, huh?
