Works like a champ! Get your coat on in summer.
Purchased unit 3.5 months ago do to the master bedroom was extremely toasty. Brought it home and set it up with no issues. Now in 98 degree weather and high humidity here in Florida it will bring the room down to the low,70's to high 60's in no time. In the drying function we freeze and have to turn it down or off late at night. Bless the remote! Not all that noisey either..less that most window units.This unit made me a hero to my wife....Yea!

Too noisy and water leaks
I bought this AC the beginning of the summer to replace an old portable. I never had to empty the water in the old one and because this one implied you didn't have to, I thought great! Well I went to try to move it one day and water went all over my carpet. The light never came on to say it was full! Apparently he containers is not sealed! It cools really well, but I could not have it turned on at night because it is so loud I couldn't sleep. I also never wanted to stay long in the room when it was on, iit wad that's loud! It was also hard to set up and keep the tubing in the window and while doing it it ripped my screen, so I suggest removing your screen, but then you have to find a way to keep bugs out. I would not recommend this product. Even if you turn the fan to the lowest, you can barely tell the difference in the noise.

It's OK
I bought three years ago. It does an ok job of cooling down my average sized bedroom. At the beginning of the summer when I pulled it out to use on a hot day the hose was all cracked. Not impressed - the hose should last more than two summers considering the price of the unit.

RIP: 6/12/16
We have two portable room air conditioners going in our condo at any given time. Have always used LG products. This one, however, didn't quite measure up to your usual quality. Just replaced it w/a 12,000 BTU. Hopefully, it won't have to work quite as hard. I should add that we added another one identical to this one in December, 2015. It's doing well and we are pleased with the performance.

Amazing portable air conditioner
I bought this to use in a hot bedroom I was painting in August. It kept me very cool as I worked. I am looking forward to using it next summer.

I bought this model in May of 2013 and gets used very little. Now the compressor operates for about 5 minutes and then blows room air around. Start-ups in about 15 minutes do the same.

I cannot use screws on my window pane- or damage it whatsoever. What are other options to secure the hose the window?
