The brand new replacement unit did the same thing. I called customer service and they told me I needed to hook up a drain hose. Thanks for nothing LG

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extremely disappointed!!! We bought this 2-3 years ago and it worked fine, but then it stopped cooling. Took it to an appliance repair shop. The repairman said the lines inside were rusted through. He also said this was pretty common with LG Portable Air Conditioners. Never again will I buy another LG appliance as long as I live. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

Within the first six months a manufactures repair man had to come out and braze and solder the tubing. After another 11 months it is completely kaput and no one will warrantee the unit even with a three-year warranty. Manufacturing has it's problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from does the job and won't fall out a window We are very happy with this air conditioner. It does the job and doesn't take up too much space. No worries about it falling out a window or us falling off a ladder. At the end of the season it fit nicely in our closet under the stairway. If we have to leave for a week or so during the season it comes out of the window and the window gets locked. Price was not too bad either.

we got a this new airconditioner we just used it for 2 weeks and now is not working.it start for 2secs and off and it says FL.we drained the water and still the same.what we gonna do?

We regret the trouble you have experienced with this air conditioner. The draining instructions for this machine include unplugging the device before draining the tank. This is done for at least 2 reasons: first, to protect against potential problems relating to water and electricity, and second, to reset the FL Full Tank indicator. If this has not been done, unplug the air conditioner for at least a full minute before testing again. This should reset the indicator. I going to use this conditioner in Africa where the input is 240 volts. How many watts should the voltage converter have so that I can enjoy my conditioner please?

We appreciate your interest in this air conditioner. Products distributed within the United States are configured for operations in the US only. This model should only be used with a 120V @ 60Hz electrical current on a dedicated, grounded outlet with a 15 amp time delay fuse or circuit breaker. The use of any other current could result in damage to the machine. No other recommendations can be made in this regard.

Do I need to recharge the unit and if so what type of freon

The refrigerant in the LG 12,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner, Model # LP1215GXR does not need to be recharged. If the unit is low on refrigerant then it means you have a leak in the system which will need to be repaired. The refrigerant used in this unit is R410A...^IFV

My unit is flashing FL . It does not have a water tank and I have cleaned the filter

We appreciate your interest in this portable air conditioner. This model does have a water tank; it is simply one which cannot be removed from the cabinet. The FL message indicates that the water tank is full. In reviewing the PARTS AND FEATURES list on Page 8 of the owner’s manual, entry #8 shows the location of the DRAIN OUTLET on the back of the cabinet. Page 23 of the manual shows the removal of the DRAIN CAP and the RUBBER PLUG for the draining of the tank, which should drain into a pan which can hold 1 1/2 pints of water. My LG is 8 months old and I haven't run it for about 2 months since the weather has been cool. I ran the CL mode and haven't moved it. I turned it on the other day and it is not cooling. Any suggestions? I've cleaned the air filter and it's not cooling.

The unit I have is 2 1/2 years old. Just this week it seems to be blowing room temperature air regardless of temperature it is set on. It is blowing hard so doesn't seem to be the compressor, the air is just not cold like it should be.
