Really does the job!

Is AC wall sleeve necessary?
can this AC installed without the use of AC sleeve?
We appreciate your interest in this air conditioner. The casing of this device has no means of stabilizing in its installation. The Wall Sleeve provides the necessary stability for proper operation. We recommend the use of a wall sleeve when installing this air conditioner.

Does this unit have a "dry" or dehumidifier setting?
I've seen some air conditioners - notably the Freidrich CP06 - that does have a dehumidifier function, and like the idea very much.

LG/Wall Mount AC unit ( Best utilization of Vent )
When the AC unit is turned on, should the VENT toggle be pulled out or pushed in? In general, how should the VENT toggle be utilized when:
1. The unit is off but it is humid outdoors.
2. The unit is turned to fan only
3. The AC in on
The use of the VENT function is a personal preference. This control stick operates an opening in the air duct to allow fresh air from outdoors to be circulated. The vent is OPEN when the stick has been pulled.
