I currently have a unit that puts out 57 degree air and that does not do the job necessary to cool the room. Is this unit faulty or is this the expected temperature?

Answer:
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this air conditioner. If the unit is blowing 57 degree air, and this does not cool the room, then it may be that the unit is not of a sufficient size to properly cool the room. When an air conditioner is set to 68 degrees, then it should be blowing at 68 degrees, and circulating the cold air through the room. If you have additional questions about this matter, then please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

I set the temp at 80 ldegrees and the unit on economy. When I came into the room today it was 57 degrees. So does the economy not work when heat is wanted?
When I set it at 70, the room is even colder in the morning.
Is this a faulty unit, or am I doing something wrong?
The unit was purchased from Home depot in June of 2013.

When I set it on heat and set the temp at 75 or so, it never stops running!
When set on economy, it cycles on and off, but never gets the room up to the set temperature.
Can you help?

We regret the trouble you have experienced with this air conditioner / heater unit. The ECONOMY mode, for this system, is based around the sealed system. As the unit uses an electric heater element, this feature will not effect the operation. If you have additional questions on this matter, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this air conditioner. The VENT stick opens a small section to allow fresh air into the room. This feature is best used in conjunction with the FAN ONLY mode. The lever itself is only pulled out by a fraction of an inch. To close the vent, simply push it straight back into the original position. Very little pressure is required for either of these options.

I rent an apt 550 sq ft and in the living room is a thru the wall opening. Would it be necessary to buy a thru the wall unit or because of price difference can I install a window unit thru the opening. I need a heat cool unit approx. 12000btu. Also I read on one of the reviews for model number LW1213HR that it heats the room quickly, however the fan continues to blow air when the heating strip turns off thus blowing cool air. Can you give me any info on that issue. Thanks.
