is the cord on the right or left side of the back wall?

Answer:
Cord is on the front right side. The unit is installed through the wall where most of the unit is actually outside, which is important because water collects in the unit pan from dehumidification. If the unit is not installed properly water could run to the inside of the room or in your walls.

Answer:
Not recommended, as this unit requires an additional sleeve for the warranty. However, if you use a sleeve with the unit, it could work. Just be aware of how heavy the unit is and support it well. I have done it as a temporary solution but would be concerned with it braking a window if not supported properly.

Thank you for your question. Yes this unit can be installed and mounted on a window but LG would not provide mount instructions or materials needed to do the installation.

Answer:
If you bought the 220v unit. For 220v there are several types of outlets. You just need to replace you wall receptacle with the correct type. Any h/w store will have the correct one (less than a dollar usually). If you are not comfortable around electricity call an electrician.

Answer:
Thank you for contacting LG. The plug on the unit can not be changed or modified and therefore if your plug does not match you may attempt to return the product or have a qualified electrician change your plug to match and meet the electrical requirements of the unit purchased. Page 9 on the manual should list the requirements needed.

Answer:
In most cases you will not have a problem (depends on insulation). I use them in my motel on the beach and even with the sliding doors being left open and the customers constantly in and out, I don't get complaints.

Answer:
This is a difficult determination to make without being onsite. It will depend upon which side of the building it is on, and whether or not the air conditioner will be in direct sunlight. Also, how insulated is the room? Is the space above the room a finished room, or is it attic space? A 12,000 BTU air conditioner can sometimes cool a 500 square foot area, depending upon the specifics of the room.

Why doesn't the fan shut off?

Model LT123, Air/Heat unit
After reaching temperature setting for heat, the fan stays running,Therefore pushing cold air around the room, this results in cooler air movement, which is not really the desired comfort that we were anticipating, Is there something that can be done about this?
Thanks, Larry

Answer:
In cooling and heat mode the fan stay on so it can circulate the air evenly throughout the room. If the fan was off once unit reaches the temperature, the room could have "hot spots". You should turn the vents on the unit so the air does not blow directly on you so you won't feel it. also a ceiling fan helps to controll the temperature throughout the room. The energy saving mode works only in the cooling cycle and does turn off the fan.

Answer:
We regret your dissatisfaction with the design of this product. It is the intent of the design of this unit, when in the heat mode, to warm the air, and circulate it throughout the room, while taking in more air to heat. However, this can only be done by the continuous circulation of the air in the room. If this is not to your satisfaction, then all we can recommend is turning off the unit when it reaches the desired temperature.
