What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great buy! We love this a/c unit. Works great. Cools well. We leave it on energy saver most of the time. It has been 3 very hot months (a lot of 100 degree plus days) and our rooms have 9 foot ceilings. This unit cools them down quickly. Great price compared to other brands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would like to see a automatic feature Would like to see a automatic setting on the control so you do not have to adjust fan speeds when temperature is reached and fan speed is too high. Even in the dry mode it needs constant adjustment to stay in a efficent cost mode. Economy mode just shuts it off at the last speed selected

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeds expectations I read reviews before I buy, always. Take my word for it, this a/c unit saved me when my HVAC unit went out. It was September in Florida and it was hot outside but cool inside!!! Installation was a breeze.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seems to work fine. Installation was a bit more complicated than expected because the A/C with its plastic flaps was about 1/4" wider than listed - therefore I had to remove one of them. The unit itself is powerful, as I will explain. I ordered it in July because it was unbearably hot. Two days after it arrived the outside temperature became much cooler, and remained that way for the rest of the summer, so I ran it for just a few hours. Such powerful cooling by just having the unit in my window - that's really powerful, wouldn't you agree?

what is the dry mode for?

Asked by: mandi325
Yes, the DRY mode is a feature where the product acts like a low powered dehumidifier. The COOL mode also extracts moisture from the air. The DRY mode is primarily for humid, but mild temperature days.

Display of Current Room Temperature

I returned an 8,000BTU unit today to swap it for the 10,000BTU unit and am trying to figure out how to display the current room temperature on the 10,000BTU unit as well as the Fan Speed as both of these easily displayed on the 8,000BTU unit.
Asked by: hcjsdj
We regret your dissatisfaction of the operations of this air conditioner. This model is designed to display the TARGET temperature setting on the display. It will not have the capability of displaying the current room temperature.

what temp air should be coming out ?

purchased lw1013er 2 months ago from home depot. I have a 300sq' above carport apt. I live in fl. it is hot ! unit kept apt cool for first month but now, no way. can feel cold air if hand is close to unit but 2'-3' away not even cool. want to put thermometer by vent to see what temp is coming out. what should it be? and if it is not that what should I do take it back to home depot? less than 90 days old. Thanks for your help Will
Asked by: Willbur
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this air conditioner. It would seem that this unit should be able to cool such a room. Make sure that the device is shaded, rather than being in direct sunlight. If the sun shines directly on the unit, then it will certainly make the unit not operate as efficiently. If this does not resolve the matter, then it may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at
