What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LG the best window AC I brought this Ac for my apt, it works great, keeps my whole apt even the kitchen cool, sometimes I have to get up during the night when sleeping to lower the fan and adjust the temperature because it was too cold. No retreat, happy costumer!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from LG room A/C still under warranty I purposely bought an LG room air because I have had such a good experience with a LG television. But after four under warranty service calls I still am unable to use this unit and am fast losing confidence in the brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am impressed For a 2000sf home with vaulted ceilings. Near Galveston TX. I bought this unit, a 12000btu, and two 5000btu to replace our central AC that was old and outdated. For the last 4 years my May electric bills have been in the $400 range. I just got my May bill...(drum roll) $192. Its a little noisy but I think that is to be expected and I don't care if my electric bills are cut in half!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am totally pleased with this product I bought this unit at a reduced sale price at the time which resulted in it being an excellent value for the money. It has been installed in a Palm Springs private garage for motorcars and when the weather was hot this summer; did an excellent job of keeping the the room cool. Prior to installation, the area could be 140 degrees in the summer. We set the unit at its highest setting, 85 degrees, and it kept the room at that temperature. For our purpose only, we wish the unit allowed higher temp. settings; thus the "good" rating only for Features.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This AC is working great. This AC is keeping the house much cooler and with the energy saver mode. It only runs about 1/4 of the time so the bill should be less now. I put a awning up over it outside and that's helping. I recommend this AC to everyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from cools quickly This unit will cool the house quickly but it is a very loud unit. And if you use the cool setting, it doesn't seem to shut off too often at all and if you use the power saving mode it doesn't keep the house cool enough.

How do I clean the vents in my LG window unit?

Asked by: Synth26
We appreciate your interest in this air conditioner. When cleaning the unit, first make sure that the power and breaker are inactive. The front grille and inlet grille may be wiped with a cloth dampened in a mild detergent solution. The cabinet may be washed with mild soap or detergent in lukewarm water, then polished with Liquid Wax for Appliances. For additional assistance with this matter, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.
