Great product
Easy to install, but takes 2 people. Must be extremely careful not to damage condenser fins on both ends. Quiet operation. Cooling excellent. Would have preferred that documentation was on top of the unit instead of under it when un-boxing. Packaging was excellent and easy to unpack. Unit looks very nice. Love the "Auto Swing" feature.

Great performance
I purchased two LG LW1816HR window units to cool an insulated garage for short-term storage of my vineyard's grapes. After updating the garage electrical system, I installed both units by myself, plugged them in, and they worked great right out of the box(es). ( I didn't really need the heating function, but I purchased these units late in the season, and these were the only units I could locate locally). I was able to cool six tons of grapes and hold them for several days until I could ship the fruit.

A great air conditioner
This air conditioner has been a blessing. My small house stays cool even on the 100+ degree days. I think it will be a great way to heat my house this winter.

Cools GREAT!
We bought this unit over a month ago to go in the shop we built for our business. It has worked out better than I expected! Installation was easy. I come to work in the mornings turn it on and within 10 to 15 minutes it has cooled the area to a pleasant 73 degrees, even on the hottest days. This unit is rated for 1000 sq. ft. The area we are cooling is 600 sq. ft. but has a high ceiling. The auto swing feature keeps air blowing to the front and back of the shop nicely. The filter was easy to remove, clean, and put back in. I can't comment on the heating ability yet but I'm super pleased with this unit so far!

Is it a 110 or 220 plug
The power cord on the LG 18000 BTU Window Air Conditioner, Cooling & Heating, Model # LW1816HR includes a current interrupter device and it must be plugged into a standard 250 V, 3-wire grounding receptacle rates at 20 Amps. Use a 20 Amp, time delay fuse or 20 Amp circuit breaker. The NEMA Configuration for the plug is NEMA 6-20P (one vertical blade and one horizontal blade over a round grounding pin)...^IFV

I have a brand new lg 18000 btu and is barely installed and doesn't blow cold air why ?

Does model #LW1816HR require a neutral?
The LG 18000 BTU Window Air Conditioner, Cooling & Heating, Model # LW1816HR comes equipped with a power cord that has a current interrupter device attached to it. The plug on the power cord has a NEMA Configuration of 6-20P which is a 3-wire, 2 pole plug that must be plugged into a standard 250V, grounded 3-wire receptacle protected by a 20 Amp. Time Delay fuse or a 20 Amp. circuit breaker. The plug cannot be removed or modified. Window air conditioners are fed from single phase sources, so its branch circuit and its power cord consist of three wires, the ground, hot wire and neutral wire...^IFV
