What People Are Saying

Rated 4 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cools well but load The air conditioner does an excellent job of cooling however it is loud and the continuously running fan or intermitent 3 minute delay fan on the energy saver and dry modes is very irritating. I'm not sure you can get a much quiter one of this size. However something could be done about the fan coming on every 3 minutes to check the temperature. I realize that this results in a very constant temperature but I would be happy to sacrifice that for a longer interval between fan start ups. August 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by LW2512ER Window A/C This is one of the best purchases I have made in a long time. This unit, LW2512ER, works well. It cools my entire first floor of my home on the low setting. The "dry" setting works great. I am very pleased with this purchase. I would definitely recommend to others. August 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by this product is wonderful and has great quality i love my new air conditioner it works great and i really love the energy saver button it helps with the energy cost i think it would be cool if they would offer some removeable faces that you could change color or design of your ac with ease but no joke this is a great product! Rated 1 out of 5 by Very noisy! I'm disappointed with the LW2512ER in my place. Unit is very noisy even at low speed. At energy-saver mode, it would run for only 10 -15 seconds! Short-cycling? October 12, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product This is my second LG air conditioner and i really liked my first one i hope this one is as good as the other one was. The only thing i don't like is my first AC had a five year warranty on it and this one only has a 1 yr warranty. I had problems with my other one but they stood behind it and fixed it. I had it for 6 years running almost constantly since i live in S Florida. October 8, 2012

Answer:
This unit requires a 230 volt outlet. This outlet is different that regular 110 volt that appliances like your TV or toaster may use.

Energy Saver Mode problem

Tough problem to explain but when unit is put in Energy Saver Mode once house is cooled to desired temperature the unit shuts off but you still hear either the fan or compressor running. It is not extremely loud but you can hear it all over the house. AC cools fine but just doesn't shut off completely. Drained all the water out of the unit but problem is still going on. Please help!

Answer:
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this air conditioner. The unit is designed to run the compressor and fan until it reaches the proper temperature, and then shut off the compressor, leaving the fan running. When the Energy Saver Mode is active, the unit should deactivate the fan, as well as the compressor. The fan will spin up to test the air temperature every few minutes. If the temperature is still at the specified level, the fan will shut off again; however, if the temperature has increased, then it will activate the compressor to begin cooling again. If this is not the process being experienced, then the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

When in fan mode, does this a/c unit draw in fresh air from oustide, or does it recirculate indoor air?
