Good Air Conditioner
Bought it 3 days ago. It's been over 100 since June 1, 2017, and last Monday my other AC developed a leak in the compressor, It got up to 120. It cycles properly keeping it cool without running all the time, great energy saver.

Wonderful air conditioner
My air conditioner was struck by lightening on one of the hottest days of the summer, 100 degrees. I was panicked, I called home depot, they had one unit that would fit, it was this LG. I had owned other LG products so I didn't hesitate in buying this unit over the phone. Not only did it fill my needs, but it cools at least 50% better than my old unit. I couldn't be happier with this unit and would buy it again and recommend it to others.

Great Unit
I purchased this unit in June 2016 to replace another brand unit. I purchased it because I have purchased other LG products and have been very satisfied with the LG products. (cell phone, TV, etc) This unit has worked great since it was installed. The installation process was easy and instructions easy to follow. I did purchase extra filters so when I clean the one in use there is another to put in with no down time. The unit cycles efficiently and keeps the house cool. Great product in my opinion at a reasonable price.

So wonderful, we bought another one!
We purchased this LG unit to cool the house. We had a smaller unit by a different manufacturer in the den that was only a year old. We were so impressed with the efficiency and the Energy Saver mode on this unit that we replaced the perfectly good unit in the den with another 8000 btu unit by LG. (It also has the Energy Saver mode.)

Cooled off 800sq ft without any problem!
I installed this unit when it was 90 degrees outside and slightly over 100 degrees inside. It began to cool the room instantly and within an hour we were using blankets for comfort. I am extremely satisfied with the performance of this unit!

Unlocking inner body of AC
One lock screws had to be cut to remove the inner body of the Window unit. hand screwdriver and power could not budge this. Once the screws was cut with a saw it could b e removed. Kinda a pain

My compresser isn't kicking off. It even stays on when the power button is off. What is causing this?
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this air conditioner. Is it the COMPRESSOR that is not shutting off, or is it the FAN, which is designed to run continuously? If the device continues to run, even when deactivated, then it may require service. Please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 to further troubleshoot this situation.

Is this unit able to be used in a through the wall installation?
As a window air conditioner, the LG 24500 BTU Window Air Conditioner, Model # LW2516ER requires either a standard single-hung or double-hung window for proper installation. The louvers in the sides of the cabinet cannot be covered up or obstructed in any way. Installations including using a wall sleeve, holes in walls or any other non-window installation are not recommended...^IFV

I just bought an LG window type A/C. I had to go to Pahrump's Home Depot because Las Vegas did not have it. I installed ti yesterday, but the problem I have at the moment is that after the unit runs a while it stops and flashes CH and 34.
The CH34 error code showing on your ENERGY STAR® LG 24500 BTU Window Air Conditioner, Model # LW2516ER is a code that displays when the safety Relay causes the unit to power down due to abnormal pressure in the sealed system. That is not a defect and is designed to protect the unit from overheating. If you installed the unit in direct sunlight, you may want to consider installing an awning over the air conditioner to shade the unit from direct sunlight and weather conditions. Direct sunlight heats up the cabinet which can cause the unit to overheat and activate the Safety Relay...^IFV
