What People Are Saying

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 75 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by So far, so good! Dependable unit. The only problem is that the controls on the unit get sticky and don't control the function it is intended for after a period of time. The remote always controls the unit as intended. Quite fan and the A/C has great features. July 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by It's cool how well it cools! We live in a 360sq ft park model RV. The unit is installed in the main room and with the use of ceiling fans cools the entire house...and quickly. We are entirely satisfied. January 29, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by cools quickly I have run this a/c almost non-stop for 3 months in Texas heat and it is great! Not too noisy and well worth the upgrade from the smaller less-expensive model which is so noisy when it cuts on and off that I am thinking of returning it (hardly used because wakes me up all night long). Rated 5 out of 5 by Rather quiet, and good cooling This is the first Air conditioner I have owned, so I can only compare it to those others I have encountered elsewhere, But I am well pleased with this machine. It seems to be as quiet as one could expect an air conditioner to be, being hardly much louder than a small fan when on low, and a while noticeable when on high, still not offensive. It cools very well, doing a most admirable job with my small house, which with it's open floor plan comes to larger than this AC is rated for, and yet still makes walking inside on a hot day like entering an oasis. Just make sure you follow the installation instructions and read how to preform the needed maintenance of the filter, etc. And you should find this a great product. August 23, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Poor quality control ! Mounting bracket on bottom of unit is spot welded on at 30 % angle . it makes the side panel very misaligned . Makes it much harder to install !!! Also noticed that the inside fan sounds like it is rubbing against something !? Very loud when it rains ... July 29, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very Quiet. Nice controls. Old mounting system. Very quiet and cools very well. Mounting system is dated compared to features. Temp "up" button on unit not working, but remote does the job...not worth carrying it back to the store for that defect. Clean design and white color a big improvement over old one it replaced. Good directions and ALL hardware included for normal mount, but does not seal 100% around bottom of window frame, so that keeps it from my top rating. When an AC unit even comes with a remote, one would think the sliding vinyl accordion panels to the sides could be a better design by now. July 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bought this to help out, central air We own a brick home which maintains the heat, and we have had over 90 degree weather with thick humidity lately. Our central air is working over time trying to keep the house cool. But with anyone that has kids, knows, the doors keep opening and closing, which in turns brings in more hot air. This unit is in our living room area and it works GREAT! Cools down the house in less then an hour. Very impressed with this unit, because it apparently is used for small areas. Well, this unit cools over 1200 sq feet with all interior doors closed and ceiling fans running. Hoping this will give our central air a little break and a break in the high electrical bills! Rated 4 out of 5 by Good little Air Conditioner - but could be better This unit has good design features and works overall pretty well. However, I do have a few issues. 1. The thermostat is not calibrated. The temp set and the room are usually 3 degrees different. Set the unit at 76 and the room will rest at 79. 2. The econo cycle is great but too short. The cycle is for 3 minutes. It stays off for 2.5 minutes then runs for 30 seconds to test the temp. If it needs to turn on the cool, it then shuts off then starts again in the cool mode. This constant on and off so quickly is nerve racking. They could have made it so it was adjustable for 5 up to 10 minutes. 3 minutes is just too quick. 3. Lastly, the front touch panel on my unit was scratch and torn. No biggie as far as functionality is concerned but, a quality issue that should have been spotted before shipping. I bought on line so I got what I got but, I'd much rather purchase at a store to inspect the unit before taking it. July 4, 2014

The fan continues to run in the normal mode when the compressor shuts down. In the economy mode, the fan only runs when the compressor comes on.

Answer:
Most all A/C units manufactured in recent years allow for a short run on period of the main blower fan after it senses the room it is cooling has cooled sufficiently or has reached a factory preset acceptable room temperature variable, say within a degree up or down from user input setting. This is to allow for efficient operation of the unit, and for customer satisfaction of how they perceive its operation. After all, you just spent money in the form of electricity to have the unit pump refrigerant through the evaporator coils that the fan blows through to the room environment, you should be able to expect to get the most bang for the buck, by receiving the maximum benefit of the cooled refrigerant that remains in the evaporator coils once the compressor shuts off. After the coils warm up to factory preset temps, it sends the signal to shut off the fan until cool air is called for in the room again. It will not re-introduce humid air into the room unless you have the fresh air vent at the back of the unit open to the outside environment.

YES! This is one of the main features I looked for when purchasing my unit because I live in an area where commercial power is constantly being interrupted. When the power comes back on the unit picks up right where it left off!

Answer:
It is supposed to, according to the manufacturer claim in the operational instructions. To test to see if yours will, leave plugged in and running at a set temp and speed, then turn the electrical breaker off at the circuit breaker panel of your house/apartment that the unit is plugged in to. Check to see if your unit shut off once you do that, then turn the breaker back on and observe the unit and see if after a couple minutes it turns back on to the temp and speed you had it set at prior to doing so.

Answer:
This unit comes with a plastic nipple with barbed or raised edges to easily slip a rubber hose of correct inside diameter over, so as to remain on it without a hose clamp. It snaps into a predrilled drain hole in the section of the unit for that purpose, and then you can route that length of hose where you desire it to go, or to drain the unit's built up condensation to. Go to your local hardware store with the nipple in hand and get the proper size hose that way. Just tell them what you are doing with it and they can direct you further.

Redirect air flow not working?

I have the ac installed in the only window i can facing my couches. With my old ac I could redirect the air flow but moving the vents (?) towards the left. When I try it with this ac the airflow hardly changes so my guests are being hit in the face with cold air. Is this just how it is? is there anything else i can do?

Answer:
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this air conditioner. Be certain that the Stick for the Fresh Air Vent is extending through the grille as per its design. Adjusting the vertical louvers left and right will change the direction of the air flow. It cannot be adjusted too far, in order to prevent restricted air flow. If you have additional questions about this unit, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.
