What People Are Saying

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works as a heater and an AC unit Purchased the unit over a year ago, it works well in our sun room, insuring that it does not get too cold in the winter, or too hot in the summer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very quiet and easy to use This unit is fairly priced and does a good job. Thermostat is nice. Works well and quiet. The front cover doesn't latch well, but will stay put if you work with it a bit, not a big enough deal to uninstall and return the unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value We have a small area that doesn't get air or heat from the home heat pump. This unit fit just right in the window in this area and does everything we need it to do and then some. very pleased. We have other LG products and have always been very pleased with them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We love the Remote Control Purchased this for our Camping Travel Trailer. It’s cools wonderfully and the electronic controls have several nice features! We have not yet experienced the heat option but there is no doubt that it’s equally effective as the cooling. In the rather confined space of our camper we do have condensation on and around interior areas of the unit. This is easily managed with a drip pan and the fact that we are camping on the beach (very high humidity).

Another website with this same model unit says the outdoor temp in the winter must be above 45 for the heating to work. But I can't find that anywhere on the LG website. Are there limitations on when the heat will work?

Asked by: cghbuilder86
I purchased this unit on 3/11/18. I am currently using the heat portion, and heat does come out, the unit condenser rotates on and off. I live in Florida and we've had frost (30-40 degrees) for a couple of months now at night. This unit has been keeping my Florida room at the same temperature as the inside of the house with the sliding door left open to the living room. So, this morning, frost overnight again, and I had the unit set for 62 degrees and it kept the room at that temperature. I am very pleased with my purchase so far. Can't wait to see how well it works in the Summer. The Florida room temperature gets up to 100+, even with windows open for air circulation, and obviously can't open the sliding door to the living room. I don't think you have to be concerned with what the other websites are saying about the operation of this unit at the temps they are reporting.

Heatpump or just strip heat?

Asked by: Wayne djhdjdks
We appreciate your interest in this air conditioner. The heater is not a heat pump. This model has an electric heater, near the fan, which is larger than a standard heat strip.

There's a spring loaded plug in the bottom of the unit can it be removed to drain water

Asked by: Possom
We appreciate your interest in this air conditioner. No, there is no spring-loaded plug on this cabinet. When the water reaches a certain depth, should it reach that depth, the water will drain from the back of the air conditioner.
