Will the range vent the air to the outside the house (instead of letting it out from the top). If it does not vent outside, how effective is it?

Answer:
Use an oven mitt to protect your hand in case the bulb breaks when removing the light bulb. Simply unscrew the bulb from beneath the cabinet, and replace it with a 120V, 50 watt halogen bulb.
