I can not get by BD390 to connect to my Netgear WNDR4000 dual band router on the faster 5GHz band. It will connect on the lower 2.4GHZ band. Sometimes in connection setup the BD390 "sees" the 5GHz band and sometimes it does not, but either way, I am unable to connect to it.

Answer:
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this BluRay player. The BD390 has been designed for compatibility with the 2.4GHz Bandwidth only. It is for this reason that it has been unable to connect to a 5GHz network.

Answer:
The addition of features is only available if the content producers develop and release such an update to these players. The hardware manufacturer does not write software for the addition of such features. Any updates would be sent directly to the television. In order to obtain all the online features that are available on our Smart TV devices, without having to obtain an entirely new TV or player, it is recommended to obtain the Smart TV Upgrader, model ST600 which will allow the Smart TV features which are available through the LG Apps Store. Information about this device can be viewed on our website at http://www.lg.com/us/tv-audio-video....

Answer:
The Nero MediaHome software is provided to allow the DLNA File Sharing, for those systems that do not allow it already. If your computer can already share files using DLNA, then the software will not be necessary. Please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for proper setup assistance.

Answer:
A 10 Base-T or 100 Base-TX LAN port is required for a wired connection to this player. If your internet service does not allow for such a connection, you will not be able to connect the player. The Network Environment requirements are a 100Mb Ethernet, WLAN (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n).

Wirelessly tap into streaming entertainment like CinemaNow, YouTube, Netflix and Vudu direct to your TV from the Internet. All that, and you still get unmatched picture quality from your Blu-ray discs. This is no ordinary Blu-ray player. It’s something better.
