Rated 5 out of 5 by Better than expected. Battery is way better than the Motorola i had before this. The clarity of calling is also better and you can listen to your music with it. I have had this for about two weeks now and all my calls have been great. Not one dropped connection and when I am talking with people, I have been told they hear me very well… even when I am on the freeway at 70mph. It took me a week to adjust to the fit, but now I am used to it, its just great. For the price, these are awesome devices. February 8, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Good call quality The bluetooth set generally works well. The clarity is good even on the highway. The only bad part is that I snapped the piece that goes over the ear. Other than not having that piece anymore, everything works like it's supposed to May 22, 2012

No, it doesn't need to be on while charging. If yours isn't keeping a charge, either the charger has "burnt out" or the pins inside the unit are bent. You should send it back to the manufacturer if its still under warranty or if not under warranty, try "Geek Squad" at Best Buy. Good Luck!

Answer: 
I called LG's customer service and explained the situation and they were very kind and sent a replacement. In fact, I have done this three times. The 4th earpiece just snapped in the same place as the other ones did....right in the 'yoke'. It is a great blue tooth....the earpieces are brittle and will snap on you. My advice, have them send you two, then when the 1st one breaks, call and get another one. Good luck

How can I fix the on/off button

The on/off button has become very loose and springs to the off position with the slightest vibration. Is there anything I can do to stop it? It is unusable as it is.

Mute control for the HBM-280 bluetooth earpiece

I don't see a user manual available on-line at the LG website for support. Is there any instruction for how to use the volume up/down buttons in some combination that causes the mic input to be muted?
