While that bypasses the V20's quad DAC, it passes a clear Bluetooth 24 bit sound (48kHz / 24bit) via aptX HD signal that your headphone can parse on quality DAC presuming your headphone support aptX HD and has a good DAC. I purchased LG’s Tone Platinum (refurbished) to go with this phone for that very reason. Music coming across the Platinum is stunningly clear and detailed. That part is lovely. Out of the box, it has an anemic lower end, even for me (and I'm no bass head). To mitigate this issue, I got some Comply 100 Series eartips. While they don’t give the headset an amazing bass, they do provide enough seal to provide a solid, if not stellar lower end. Coupling that improved base with the headphone’s clarity and detail works well for my type of music listening. If you have a need for beat such as loving techno and beat-heavy R&B, these probably aren’t for you. Jazz and classical lovers, however, will get along nicely as long as you get a great seal.I use the Poweramp app to listen to music locally. (Rocket Player is also very good.)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality Product worked fine for about 13 months and then would not charge. It was never dropped and it never was exposed to moisture. Warranty for only one year so I am out of luck. Other brands are just as good and less expensive

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Excellent audio quality on music only. Everyone that I speak to they tell me they can't hear me (a bad mic). Loses connectivity with phone in my hand. Plus sound cuts out if I'm even 15ft away. The only good think on it is the quality sound it’s great while listening music.

Where is the ANC button located?

Unlike the LG TONE ULTRA™ Wireless Stereo Headset, Model # HBS-800, the LG TONE PLATINUM™ Wireless Stereo Headset, Model # HBS-1100 does not have an ANC switch n it, it doesn't have that feature...^IFV

I got a pair of the platinum headphones from t mobile and straight out of the box and charged them and used them the next day and not even 15 minutes of use there was a harsh popping sound in the right earpiece is there a way I can get these replaced?

Is there a way to listen to music on the 1100 headset on just the external speakers?

The LG TONE PLATINUM™ Wireless Stereo Headset, Model # HBS-1100 does not have external speakers. The LG TONE Studio™ Wearable Personal Speaker, Model # HBS-W120 is the headset that has external speakers on it and allows you to switch between the speakers and the earphones by sliding the Speaker/Earphones mode switch...^IFV

Anyone having any issues with losing charge even when it's turned off? Almost a full charge after 1.5 hours use. Turned off for 5 hours and now at 50-60% charge.

After pairing the LG TONE PLATINUM™ Wireless Stereo Headset to your phone, when you make a call on your mobile phone, the the call is automatically connected to the HBS-1100. On some mobile phones, you should briefly press the Play/Pause/Stop button two times to switch calls...^IFV
