My question is, I started charging the device at an hour and 41 minutes ago and the light is a solid blue. It started as red for an hour or so and then it turned blue... does that mean it's done charging?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extremely disappointed Bought this less than a month ago because I thought being able to have two devices connected to the headphones would be a nice feature, since I use my iPod when I'm at work or when I'm working in the yard. However, I don't understand what the benefit of having bluetooth is when whatever device you're listening to has to be within a foot of the headset. If I put either my phone or my iPod IN MY FRONT PANTS POCKET, with nothing between the headset and device but (at max) a piece of denim and 2.5 ft of space, the sound cuts out constantly. The only way that I've found to prevent this is to carry whatever device I'm listening to around in my bra... really? I can just use traditional headphones then.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from What have you done LG? 2 stars, they do work :/ I have had a set of the original LG HBS 700's for almost 3 years. The 700's were perfect, great battery, great range, just the right amount of features & great volume. I have been down to one ear bud functioning for about a month now. My HBS 700's have finally died, sad day. The HBS 700 have served me well, no complaints. So I head to my local big Blue box store and find that none of the new LG offering resemble my beloved 700' after some online review reading I decide to purchase the HBS 800's and they were on sale too. Well, I wore them for one night at work, a 3-1/2hr part-time shift, and I can say that I am sadly disappointed with these HBS 800's. I will be returning these for sure. -They feel "cheap". Not the like the originals that LG produced just a few years ago. -The magnets that hold the earbuds in place, when not in use, are just way to weak. Not only do the earbuds fall out, but the earbuds are next to impossible to get into the magnet area. If you have big fingers (like me) it takes far to long to get the earbuds into place in the holder. The holder is also on the UNDERSIDE of the device! What engineer would do this?! The banded controls "rest" on your collar bone, so why would you design a device that you need to lift up of your body in order to access the earbud magnet? The HBS 700 (and other older models) were held in from the front of the control area, easily accessible while wearing the device. -The biggest reason for my displeasure of the HBS 800 is the lack of volume! I have my phone media volume maxed, the HBS 800 volume maxed and it still is not where I need the volume to be. The sound quality is good, maybe due to the JBL sticker on the box, I don't know, but I can tell you these 800's do not have enough volume. I even tried apps from google play store to boost volume, no luck. I also tried turning the "noise cancellation feature" on and off, no better result. If you work or play in quiet environment, then maybe the volume would be fine for you. I work in a school, the voices of the children, a custodians vacuum, or a pencil sharpener will drown out the low volume of the HBS 800. -The volume up/down buttons are on the bottom side of the banded controls, you have "feel" your way to them. When you push on them they move around your neck. They used to be on the top of the device, they were easy to use, even when wearing gloves. When you push down your collar bone would back up your "push". These side mount controls on the HBS 800 are hard to reach and use. -The power on/off switch is too tiny. I need to use my finger nails to move the switch. Again, cheap and poor design. I have ordered an older (but new) pair of LG Electronics HBS-730's that I have found on Amazon. These are just like my old 700's. I ask you LG, why do you need to change something if its not broke?! How do you improve on something that doesn't need improving? Ohh and one last thing.....I would have no problem spending the money on the TONE INFINIM, but now way do I believe the idea of retractable earbuds will ever last very long. One more thing to wear out or break. I also don't want wires from my chin up to my ears, when you turn your head they are annoying.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible MTBF I first purchased this unit in September 2014, but the battery failed in June 2015; I was given a replacement in June and it failed in July 2015, just after techarging the battery in booth cases. Because I had to have a working handsfree unit, I purchased a LG HBS-900 in mid July and the unit failed Aug 31, 2015. LG will not stand behind its product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Trouble shooting language change I love this headset, however it started speaking in another language without me (intentionally) doing anything to change the setting. I spent most of my morning on live chat with a representative who took their time trying to research the problem and find me an answer (thanks for trying!) no avail. The representative told me that the manual didn't offer a language change option but I found in the question section where 2 or 3 other people had the same problem. The rep did offer to send me a return label so that I could do a warranty claim and that it would be replaced, but I was determined to figure out why it just changed languages. I pushed different buttons for different lengths of time and discovered that holding the pause button for approx 2 seconds will get you back to the English language! Overall, the headset is great, but that feature really needs to be noted in the manual or at least the reps need to be informed on how to solve the problem when the user can't figure it out (the answer to the other users was "there is no option to change languages in the manual, contact customer service at..." and included a phone number). Hope this helps those who's sets start speaking a foreign language!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Somewhat below par for HBS Sound as good as 730. Power switch difficult to operate - very stiff. Ear plugs don't stick to cups well. New light position is good. Charging door doesn't want to open. Comfortable fit. Good battery life.

how I can change the language to Spanish

how i know that is full charge what kind of light will appear ?

As described on page 4 of your owner's manual for the LG TONE ULTRA™ Wireless Stereo Headset, Model # HBS-800, " While charging, the LED indicator will show a solid red light. - When charging is complete, the LED indicator will turn off. - When ANC is ON, the LED remains lit in violet and charging is not completed. Please turn off the ANC. Note: When Charging with other than the designated voltage range, the product may be damaged and/or could cause charging failure."...^IFV

I can see the red light for charging it comes on but once it charges for 10 minutes it goes off. I turn it on and it does absolutely nothing. can any one one help me out as i drive a lot and need them...

I have the same issue also. This is my second pair. ATT replaced the first pair no questions asked. I had them 1.5 months before they quit working. My second pair I used for the charge that came with them. Put them on charger and now they are dead as a door nail. Very disappointed in this product. I find it ironic there are four posts prior to the with same issue and I don't see a response from LG.

how will I know of its fully charged ,I charge it red light goes on then in a while it turns off does that means it's charged

We appreciate your interest in this Bluetooth Headset. According to the information listed on page 12 of the owner’s manual, the red LED light stays on while charging. When charging is complete, the red LED will deactivate. The only time this should be different is when the Ambient Noise Cancelation (ANC) feature is active, in which case, the solid violet lighting will stay active when charging completes.

I just got the hbs 800 and had the hbs 730 I believe. I can barely feel these vibrate on my neck!! Is that normal? Is there a way to change this?? It vibrates on the left side only very lightly. Please help!! I'm very disappointed!
