Stop working in 3 weeks. Not even starts now. Battery life is a joke.

I have been looking for a fairly inexpensive unlocked touch screen phone for awhile now and the LG Vu fit the bill perfectly. When I took it out of the box the first thing I noticed was that it was VERY lightweight, which I liked. It feels like you are holding a tiny little piece of plastic, but it's a fully functional touch screen phone. Once I turned the phone on and started playing with it I also noticed that the touchscreen, although very nice looking, is not as intuitive to the touch as I would like. Being that I also have an iTouch, I expect a lot from touch screen devices and the LG Vu's touch screen is mediocre at best. Typing (even with QWERTY) is definitely not as easy as with an iTouch/iPhone. This is not only because of it's lack of sensitivity to touch but also because it does not have auto correct. It is very easy to accidentally hit the wrong letter and the Vu has absolutely no features to check/correct that, which can get very annoying and time consuming. The mobile TV feature on this phone is very prominently featured, it's one of the only 4 buttons on the home screen menu. Also, there is a rather large antennae tucked into the side of the phone that is pretty pointless if you, like myself, do not use the tv feature (which costs an extra $15/a month. Other things I should hit on, no games or apps built-in, only demos, simple mp3 player included on device, acceptable camera, very slick and stylish design, and pretty good battery life. All in all, if you're looking for a touch screen phone that won't break the bank, this is definitely a good option. If you can get over all of it's minor flaws, it is at the least a decent device for making calls and sending texts.

Do not purchase unless you want problem after problem. I've had nothing but trouble with mine. Battery problems, touch screen problems, speaker, camera, 3G, text messaging (not sending/receiving in 3G), calling (unable to call/receive calls in 3G), SIM card... You name it, this phones got it. In problems.

Rated 3 out of 5 by tootsie Good phone bad battery
I bought this phone used. I really like everthing about the phone. Quslity calls. good volumne everything is good but the battery. I can have a full charge use the phone for 30 mins and it has dropped 2 bars. Thats just talking. If I let it lay for a day and use it the next day for a few minutes it looses all bars. It definitly does not have a 10 day stand by or a 3 hour talk time. LG needs to figure it out but I guess thats why they don't sell the phone anymore.

Rated 3 out of 5 Great for a few months...
When I first got this phone it was wonderful and has been my first touch screen phone. Shortly after, maybe five months down the line the battery life was deteriorating drastically and I could not make a two minute phone call without the phone dying and shutting off. I replaced the battery and here I am three months later and the same problem but now added to it, the touch screen is not working either. It has been a real hassle and I would not buy another one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by VU'd Life is pretty Good
This phone has been in use for over a year and has many fine features and has proven itself very versatile and durable. but I've always had issues with playing music. It has trouble, in general, interfacing with computers. One of the big draws to this phone is its music capacity, but even after hours with Techs and AT&T associates, I've never been able to get it to play music continuously from the music player. The music was loaded from my laptop. Now the opposite problem, downloading videos. way too much time spent in research and tracking down solutions.. Life isn't so good when you spin your wheels.
