Rated 1 out of 5 by Locosoto Low Internal Memory
I have always been a fan of LG products and at first glance this phone seemed like a good idea but I was very wrong. The phone functions are adequate and it performs great. The HUGE flaw with this product is its internal memory. 1.5 gigs is a HORRIBLE amount with today's apps getting more advanced by the minute. You can expand with a memory card but not all apps can be moved there. Once the phone reached its internal memory capabilities it will drop calls, not take pics, not play music, most apps will stop working. It becomes a paper weight. Just with the required apps used by T-mobil and updates it takes all of the internal memory space. I am constantly having to delete texts, voicemails, call logs just to keep basic phone function working.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Blenncapt This product is worth the money
I'm not a big 'power phone' user I also have a computer I use at home, I don't use a lot of apps except FB and banking. This phone is loaded with apps. I've had the iPhone and the Galaxy, but for the money this phone is really good. It charges up quicly and holds a charge for quite a while. I've had the phone for 5 months and I'm very pleased with it and all the features

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jannb No memory space
I bought this phone a few months ago because it looked similar to an iphone and a samsung galaxy while being on a budget. I am not satisfied with this product because it keeps giving me issues about insufficient space when I have 10 songs and 20 pictures and 2 downloaded apps. With the iphone i never had this problem. I set up an alarm for to wake me up for work monday- friday and because of insufficient space the app couldn't even go off to wake me up. That's when I told myself that I needed a new phone. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PHONE TO ANYONE, STAY AWAY!

Rated 1 out of 5 by MG79 Horrible phone insufficient internal memory!
This phone is average featured and design phone and has 4G LTE . BUT it has one major flaw. The memory. Phone comes pre install with apps you can NOT uninstall or move to SD card, once you added a few aps of your own such as IG and FB phone will start giving you notices of insufficient internal memory which will disable certain features, inhibit you getting your messages, make the phone crash or not operate certain aps. I find my self having to go to setting and clearing the Cache and Data of all the apps at least 1-2 a week! I moved every possible app to a 32 gb SD card and I store no pics, video or music on internal memory yet the phone still crashes and gives insufficient memory notices... it DOES NOT have 4GB of internal memory!! it shows 1.27GB of internal memory and apps take 1gb of that (after clearing) so ones you start using it unless u constantly clear Data, Cache and Updates on your apps it becomes inoperable! not to mention you will not be able to install additional aps.... only solution with this phone is someone who knows how to wipe out the OS and do a fresh lighter installment of android with less pre installed apps on it. Hardly something the average person can do! bought this phone and within a week time regretted it could have gotten a less familiar brand with much better specs for 1/3 of the money... DO NOT BUY!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jenl95 Mid range phone for mid line price
The only down side to this phone is that there is not enough storage. I have to remove apps to add new ones. I also had the charging port go bad and since I am still paying on the phone had to buy a second battery and universal charger so i have to take the battery out every day and replace it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MSR 91356 D 500 The worst cell phone I have ever owned
The LG D 500 is the worst most inefficient cell phone I have ever used. I have followed all of the instructions to be found on the internet and yet I am constantly being told there is no memory left and I will not be getting my messages. I cannot believe that LG puts such a terrible product out there with its name on it. DO NOT BUY THIS CELL PHONE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, NO MATTER WHAT OLD PHONE YOU HAVE IT IS BETTER THAN THE LG D 500.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kruz How to make APP Storage room for UPDATES
UPDATES - "INSUFFICIENT STORAGE"
Go to Settings; go to Apps. Click on all your apps separately and clear data. For apps you rarely use - clear Cache. For apps you never use, but still want to keep - Uninstall updates. Uninstall apps you never use. Finally, uninstall apps you like, but can live without.
Now go to the Play Store and click on menu (upper left corner) and go to My Apps. You may notice some of your apps have already updated themselves. Individually click on an app needing updates and see if it will process the update - it may actually do so without getting the "insufficient storage" response.
If this is successful, re-install apps you actually wanted but reluctantly deleted. Then re-update the apps which you previously "uninstalled updates" for.
It's a trade-off kind of game you have to play in order to make room for the updates to major apps (i.e., Chrome, Google, etc.)
This is the best I can come up with to make this a functional phone. I have observed that you have to get to 1.00 GB of used storage (or less) in order to achieve "sufficient storage" for updates.
When I purchased this phone I didn't realize how bad the app storage was. I purchased a 32 GB SD, but there are only a few apps that will transfer to it.
Hope this helps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by orlsan Great phone Great features once you expand memory
At first, I was delighted by the features of this phone, considering the price. It is a bargain. Then, got disappointed by the lack of memory that caused the phone to be in low memory almost everyday and kept me deleting apps and pics all the time.
But it was until I modded the phone and boosted the available memory for good. With a 16GB microSD card, rooted the phone and followed a pair of mods that required to install the Universal Init.d Support, BusyBox, Smanager, Root Browser and Link2SD, now I have a super phone and plenty of memory left. Installed more apps, have a lot of room and still +8GB available in internal memory (from the microSD) and +600MB available for apps to install (no matter how many more apps I install and the data they consume).
It gave my phone a new life. Yes, I lost the warranty on it, but who cares. I have had it for one year, so it is out of warranty anyway.
If you complain about the quality of pics, be sure to remove a plastic film from the camera lens when you take the back lid off. My wife has the same phone and their pics where blurry with the same settings than mine. It turned out to be caused by this film. Remove it and enjoy.
