great texting phone PROS: 1, Slide out keyboard. It doesn't make sense to press a number 3 times to get one letter. That's pathetic, impractical, very annoying way to text and can get tedious. After upgrading from the number pad phones, I don't plan to go back. There is an emoticon button, I don't use it but it has a happy face (my favorite shape) so I think it's cute and I like it. The added back light makes it look nice. 2, Durable. I've dropped it multiple times, to the point the back case and battery flew out and it didn't even have the slightest bit of damage. 3, Thread style conversations. it keeps a history of your conversation so you can remember what you talked about by scrolling back down and don't have to deal with the hassle of constantly emptying your inbox/outbox 4, you CAN turn off word prediction 5, Sleek shape/design. It's not too big, not too small. It fits in your hand it's not too bulky you can't fit it in your pocket. It has different colors to choose from so it is a unisex phone. 6, Affordable. Got it for 60 bucks at WAL-MART. I think the product quality matches the price I paid CONS: 1, any number you texted ever in your life is saved on a list and you can't delete those numbers unless you do a full phone reset. 2, left and right soft keys can't be changed. It doesn't make sense to have the WEB as the preset left soft key considering it is an extra paid for feature and the intended purpose of a phone is to call/text, not browse online... 3, the message inbox does not give you a warning if the inbox is too full the receive messages. you just simply don't receive it (until you delete some old messages) so your contacts are left hanging, wondering if you're mad at them or avoiding them 4, does not have a slot to put a phone charm. Rumor 2 and Battery Life I have had this phone for a while and actually , like it very much . Easy to use , seems sturdy and has lots of features . The ONE thing I really do not like is the battery life and I find the battery indicator / meter to be somewhat inaccurate. When you see the first battery bar go away , you havent got long . I just charged the phone last night and used the texting feature quite a bit today and one bar is already gone. Thats not to impressive. How is everyone else finding the battery life on these phones ? Other than that I like it a lot. September 10, 2011
good, simple phone I've had this phone for almost a year, and I really like it. I owned the original rumor before this, but the rumor 2 is by far a much better phone. The qwerty keyboard is very easy to type on. I would recommend this phone to anyone who wants basic features like calling and texting, but if you want to use the internet browser, i'd choose a different phone because the screen isn't really big. Great Sturdy Phone I have had this phone for a year and a half now and it has literally been through everything. I'm not usually hard on phones but about a week after I bought it, I dropped it into a full glass of lemonade. I popped the battery out, drove 25 minutes home, then took a hairdryer to to and stuck it in a bag of rice. It worked! It gets dropped daily on blacktop, tile, cement, ect., and it has held up wonderfully. Then last night, I dropped it into a glass of pop. Once again popped the battery out, hairdryer, and a bag of rice and it works perfectly today. I wouldn't recommend doing these things to your phone, but accidents happen and this one has lived through them all! April 12, 2011
