Great, inexpensive phone
Date:February 12, 2011
Best Features: Android and great price
Cons: Short battery life- must charge it every day
"Great phone. No problems since I purchased this 6 weeks ago. This is my first smartphone. Surprisingly easy to use, but texting on the flat screen takes some practice. You get the android technology for an excellent price. You will need to charge it everyday though. Get the free task killer app to turn off apps you don't need running all the time to save some battery life."

Excellent low cost android phone
Date:February 10, 2011
"This is my first android phone, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I have really enjoyed the Optimus S. Came with Android 2.2, which was a nice plus, especially for the price (mine was free). Apps load quickly, internet usage is pretty fast, especially when connected to wi-fi. Has a lot of features I haven't even gotten to yet. My only gripe is the battery life, which leaves something to be desired. Overall, I highly recommend this phone."

We pay $10 more for a 3G phone
Date:February 6, 2011
Best Features: Battery life
Cons: $10.00 premium service
"We thought this would be the perfect phone to avoid the $10.00 4G premium service but after viewing our bill and confirming with Sprint we found out Sprint is Now Charging the $10.00 premium for All Smart Phones so we are taking it back and going with a 4G phone. Looking at a Epic because reviews say the battery life is much better and that was the feature we look for the most.
Pro: Small not bulky
Battery life
Cons: $10.00 more for a phone that only has 3G speed"

Excellent Phone, Excellent Value
Date:February 3, 2011
Best Features: Call quality, touch screen responsiveness and accuracy, Android 2.2, Phone Size and feel
Cons: Battery life, lack of LED indicator light.
"As far as bang for your buck, you will have a difficult time finding a better value. I've had a lot of different phones and also had the HTC Hero before this one, and the Optimus is by far my best phone I've ever owned.
Where the real difference with this one comes in is with the memory. So when you touch the screen to do something (make a call, open an app, etc), it works instantaneously. Combined with the flexibility of the Android operating system, you can do just about anything you want with this phone.
I've been using it for a couple of months now and I absolutely love everything about it. The only negatives I can come up with are as 1) The battery life, and 2) No LED indicator telling you there is a missed call, message, etc.
Neither one of those things are that big of a deal to me, but they may be to others. All Android smart phones lack on battery life, but this one is below average. To get around this, I just accept that I'm going to charge it each and every day. I never try to get two days out of it. If I use it moderately during a 12 hour day, I'll have about 40% battery left.
The no LED indicator is, to me, just a minor inconvenience.
What I LOVE: Excellent call quality at each end, great touch screen responsiveness and accuracy, awesome overall responsiveness (because of the memory), and all of the Android 2.2 goodness.
I also love the size (not too big, not too small) and feel (soft, yet firm back).
I have had zero issues with this phone, which is really saying something after the piece of junk Hero I owned previously!"
