What People Are Saying

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor Battery - Found Very Easy Solution I purchased this phone and along with others the battery only lasted a couple of hours while just sitting on 4G. I found after purchasing a extended battery that there is an antenna in the battery case which pretty much drains the battery. If you cover this antenna terminal with electrical tape the phone will last all day. There isn't any signal increase that I can see without it. Some of the cases don't come with the antenna which is how I figured out the solution.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from can't stand it buying this phone was a huge mistake. it always crashes, overheats, apps most of the time don't work, shuts down on its own, and has poor battery life. i go through battery without heavy usage in 50 minutes. REALLY!? buying a g3 next time

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This Phone is horrible I have had my LG Viper less than two months, within the first I had to have Sprint order me another one because because it was extremely defective, overheated and wouldnt hold charge. I use my phone on a daily basis for my job..I have to have access to my emails, camera when I need photos of displays and it doesn't shoot clear pictures and when I text my order it has to be clear and my extreme issue is that it can be fully charged at 10 am and completely dead by 12 noon. I have to run around making my sales calls and I have to plug my phone in everywhere I go also I constantly have to delete things because it starts flickering and other things. I looked at all the specs for this phone and seemed that it would work for my job..I was wrong...Sorry to seem or be so harsh but this phone has made my life a nightmare but im stuck with it

Rated 1 out of 5 by from One Major "deal-breaker" Problem The battery is close to worthless. It must be charged multiple times daily and I don't use the phone more than once or twice a day. I do not use the data so that's not the problem. I text, perhaps, twice a day. I ordered another battery and it is also close to worthless. If the battery does not work, the phone is nothing more than a weight in my pocket. I now carry the spare battery in my purse in case I have an emergency. The features of the phone are fine, but what's the point if I can't use them because of a dead battery?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I have never been more disappointed. Upon receiving the LG Viper, I was greeted with an average-looking smart phone. It seemed to have all the bells and whistles that one would expect. I was dead wrong. Within minutes of using this device, the truth was realized - the LG Viper is a substandard cell phone. Never before have I used a product that freezes more constantly, has so much trouble accessing the internet, and fails to recognize touch screen activity. These are only the more prominent issues. There's also the factor of a poor quality camera (both front and back view), among other things. Connecting to 3G and 4G services is troublesome and does not always work as it should. Even when connected to a strong Wi-Fi signal, extremely slow internet is observed. I could get into all the problems that I've had with this phone, but it would be a waste of time. The bottom line is that the LG Viper is one of the worst smart phones in the market.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent phone, Android customizations mixed bag This was my first smartphone, and I was mostly happy with it. It was cheap enough (with the Sprint plan) and could browse the ’net and run apps. Memory was a bit tight for some apps, but this was rarely a problem. For the price, the hardware was a fairly good value. The customizations that LG and Sprint made to Android on this phone were more of a mixed bag. (I think it's fair to mention Sprint's additions since the phone is only available with their service.) • Quick pull-down access to various phone settings is a welcome improvement over stock Android. • The “Sprint ID” app, on the other hand, was an almost useless feature that could not be stopped or disabled, and in the default launcher (which was otherwise a smooth experience) it could not even be removed from the home screen. • Some shovel-ware, but nothing (other than “Sprint ID”) that couldn’t be uninstalled, disabled, or ignored. • Most annoying were certain subtle bugs in how fonts were handled, which showed up when using Google Chrome. Chrome now has an explicit work-around for one of these, but it was an LG bug, and indicates something missed when LG tested their releases. All in all, this is a decent phone, though; and my wife & I were happy with them while we owned them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from shameful you get the phone thinking its nice because the front camera and the features they tell you about but it really isnt all that. this phone is for an adult that only really texts and talk and may play games and have a few social network apps. if you use the phone a lot, the screen starts to freeze, and then i have to restart. it would even turn on and off by itself. the battery doesn't even last that long. and the front camera isnt that good, the memory doesnt last that long.
