Rated 1 out of 5 Worst phone Ive ever owned
I bought the LG Beacon because I was looking for an inexpensive qwerty keyboard phone, and it looked cute and convenient. I guess you get what you pay for.
The phone constantly freezes when receiving picture messages, which can only be fixed by removing the battery. Messages disappear randomly, it freezes if it locks while on the internet, and the buttons type themselves out 3 or 4 times when you press them once.
Ive owned this phone the least amount of time compared to my previous ones, and its deteriorated in quality twice as fast. I would never recommend this to anyone.

Being on a limited income I opted to purchase the LG Beacon because it appeared to have the most features compared to the other non-smartphone selections of Metro PCS; not to mention it was a familiar name brand. I purchased four phones and they all have the exact same problems. The phone powers cycles in the middle of a lengthy text message, the screen locks intermittedly, and text messages randomly dissappears from the history. I've had a couple of them replaced under the 1 year warranty and the problem persists, letting me know it's a glitch with the handset model and not an isolated with the four phones that I purchased.

Rated 2 out of 5 This phone is not user friendly at all
Bummer to buy a new phone and not like much of anything about it. Some of the main screen options takes a while to even know they are there, and the way you find out is by accidently touching it just right and then you can't figure out what you did to get it and then its gone. Yes I looked in the manual no help there... Just to much negative not worth it.

I love this phone it works great why so many bad reviews my only con is the difficulty to put in music and how it freezes sometimes.

The phone works great, but not if you plan to have many files on it... tried to download the IM/Social app... each time I try to sign in, the phone shuts off... smh waste of time... not what I had planned... I love it how I can use my nails on the touch screen and can't stand phones that nails don't work on... I sure am sick of my phone shutting down when I try to get on facebook!

Scolling thru a message or list is difficult and frustrating - sometimes it moves as expected, sometimes not. When it doesn't, you have to press on it and usually end up pressing too long or hard and make a selection you did not intend to make. Have unintentionally called people several times just trying to scroll thru contacts.
The phone frequently freezes when receiving a picture text message; the photo is received but stops with a blank square in the middle of the display. The only way to clear it is to remove the battery; none of the buttons or onscreen functions respond.
Would I recommend this phone to a friend? Not unless I want to make an enemy.

Bought two of these phones about three weeks ago. The screen freezes on both of them when trying to open a picture message. Can't go back or cancel or even shut the phone off. You have to take the battery out and re-insert to un-freeze the sceen. Took one of the phones back to Metropcs last week and they are replacing it. The tech indicated he had received many LG Beacon returns with the same issue and that it was likely a software glitch that LG or Metropcs need to address. I will try out the replacement when it arrives before I make a decision to exchange the other one or return both for a different model or brand. So far, not happy.
