Low onboard storage cripples it. I got this phone for my teenage daughter last summer because she did not want the larger high-end phones and this one had good size, large capacity battery, very snappy performance but low onboard storage. I figured we could get around the low storage with an SD card, but too late discovered the complete inability to move apps to SD. Makes the phone almost unusable. She can have only a VERY small number of apps and the phone still reaches low memory frequently. If it had another 2 gig of storage it would be a great phone, but as is, it is nearly worthless. Great speed. Poor internal memory I have gotten the LG optimus phone every time there is a new model available for Virgin and decided the F3 was the clear choice due to its price and speed. The only beef I have is the memory. I have a 2gb external sd card and I can only load pics, video, and text messages. The old optimus versions allowed movement of the apps to the sd card. Not so with the F3. 1gb is all I get for apps(I have 4 installed and a bunch of pre installed apps that I can't delete. I love the upgrade from a 2.3 speed on 3g to a 4.1 with 4g avail. Hopefully LG will re fix the memory issue on the next phone available for Virgin and I'm in. February 10, 2014
Great phone if "Quiet Mode" doesn't turn itself on Really like the phone. Upgraded from LG Optimus V and this phone is worlds better. HOWEVER, phone switches into quiet mode all on it's own. I have made sure the feature is turned off and it still kicks into quiet mode when sitting on the counter, at random times. This makes the phone worthless if I can't be notified of incoming calls/texts/emails. When the phone is working, it's great. Battery life is excellent. Back of case texture has a slick feel. I'm always afraid it is going to slip out of my hands. Also, the volume controls are directly opposite the on/off button, which means I am constantly accidently changing volume when I grab the phone to turn on/off. If quiet mode wasn't an issue, I would recommend this phone and give it 4 or 5 stars. February 7, 2014
Arrrggghhh!!! Can't move apps to SD card! I like most things about this phone. I don't constantly take photos, text, use social media and surf so I wasn't looking for bells and whistles. The only reason I upgraded was the pins in my Optimus V were damaged so charging and transferring data were problematic. The F3 was given to me by someone that decided it wasn't the phone for her but it was too late to return it. I loved it at first, but when I realized I couldn't move apps to the SD card, my love turned to rage. Then I found out about apps that would let me move other apps to the card. Unfortunately, a recent system update doesn't agree with those apps. I don't know why Virgin Mobile and LG prevent the phone from using SD storage but I certainly won't be using either of them when I replace the F3 in a few weeks. January 29, 2014
