So far...so good.
Date:October 1, 2011
Best Features: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
"My wife recently purchased this phone and so far regardless of other reviews she loves it. The only thing she would change is to make the keys on the qwerty keyboard more the size of those on the LG Envy 3, which was her previous phone. We've had no issues with dropped texts or calls and it seems to be easy to use. LG has once again made a great product!"

"I love this phone! My horse knocked it into a full bucket of water and after just 4 hours in the sun (fully taken apart) it was running just as it had been that morning! I love the touch screen and the easy keyboard. This is a great phone."

Poor Choice
Date:September 20, 2011
Best Features: call quality
"I recently added a third line to my Verizon account and let my girlfriend choose her phone. She picked this one. At the time I figured it was a decent phone. Then I got hold of it and was checking out the features and user interface. First off, the touchscreen is ridiculously insensitive. It seldom scrolls as it should, frequently opens the wrong items, and takes sometimes three tries to unlock.
The pre-installed applications are beyond a nightmare. Backup assistant is only useful the first time you get everybody in your contacts or in extreme circumstances afterwards. Daily scoop is, to state only my opinion, nothing more than a trashy gossip app. The inability to delete or remove either is absurd. Not every consumer cares about celebrity gossip or "news" and most people treat their phones carefully so backup assistant is not needed. Verizon has offered the only "solution" to the recurring issue of the phone constantly going into the browse and download menu. This solution is to turn off notifications and the phone will stop... WRONG!!! It still does it multiple times a day.
We have also had a problem with the phone not sending text messages to anybody within Verizon's own network. After nearly 4 hours of time on the phone with customer service, and 3 different times calling them, it was finally fixed.
Call quality and speaker volume seem to be the lone bright spots in this phone. Had we payed for the phone, it most certainly would have been returned. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PHONE.

a spam phone
Date:September 13, 2011
"The LG Cosmos has poor reception and a remarkably bad touch interface but it gets much worse than that. It's a new phenomenon that we would have to call a spam phone.
It has embedded software that you cannot remove that keeps turning the phone on and spamming you with Verizon offers. The spam, which also runs down your battery, comes not from a message or a phone call but just from embedded software so you can't report it to the No Call directory.
Best Buy and the Best Buy Geek Squad wash their hands of it and say that it is a manufacturer problem. However, when manufacturers put junk software on personal computers the Geek Squad helps you take it off. This is the same thing only worse and they refuse to help. I suspect this will become an ever bigger problem until someone at Best Buy starts to read these reviews and realizes that it's everybody's problem.
