Rated 4 out of 5 by ten13 Good Phone, Good Battery
I've had the Enact for a few months now, and find it a very good "first" smartphone. I initially thought I would go back to my old, non-smartphone, but it's gotten to the point that now I need the Enact for my day-to-day operation.
I find that battery surprisingly pretty good. The idea to long battery life is to shut off the 4G, WiFi, etc until you need to access the Internet or email. With that, the battery on the Enact is almost as good as my previous phone (Attention Adults: stop walking down the street updating your FB and Twitter accounts like a teenager, and your battery will last longer!)
The thickness of the phone provides me with a 'good grip' to the phone, despite a little added weight due to the keyboard.
The only unfortunate thing is that there are few accessories (cases, holsters, etc) specifically for the Enact, but one needs to adapt to those.
But a Good Phone nonetheless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by cherokeerose LG Enact
It's a great starter phone, it like it a lot. There are a few things that are not so nice about it, but I'm not sure if its the phone or my wireless connection. It seems to be a little slow at times, especially if you have more than one thing open. Like I said, its a good phone and the problems just could be my wireless connection that causing the slowness.

Rated 2 out of 5 by ColoGirl Was A Good Phone for 8 months!
I purchased this LG Enact as my first Smartphone in Nov 2013. It's now Aug 22, 2014 and I've had my first "Issues" with it. I got a massive update 2 days ago, and since then my phone is horrible. Although the real problems started last month. I was getting THREE days off a charge! Then all of a sudden 4 or 5 hours. Purchased new battery, same thing. I rarely "Surf" and my online time did not increase. I mainly got a smartphone for restaurant/hotel locations and directions. I always close my apps when I'm done. It was pretty easy to use. But since the update, I'm ready to pitch it! All the colors schemes changed-Hate the new ones! My homepage changed, had to reset sooo many things and my preferences don't seem to be available any more. One more thing have Never been able to connect to a hotspot, or use my data! Had a verizon agent check it out and she couldn't figure out why this was....it shows that everything is turned on BUT.......The only time I Can use those things is when I'm home and it connects to our internet!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Phil47 Way to much junk preprogrammed on this phone
Battery goes dead if you carry the phone in your pocket for more than an hour. Must constantly remove battery to reset the phone. Verizon requires so many pre programmed apps that there is extremely limited storage for any other apps never mind that the storage is itty bitty at best. Will run away from this phone when contract is up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by 99CJ It's a good first smart phone
I like how you can download other apps that aren't on the apps store. I like how its also 4g. the keyboard makes the phone a little fat but its very useful. downsize is that the keys are a little small. other than that, this phone is amazing

Rated 5 out of 5 by belle Great phone!
This has the simplicity I prefer, yet has the features I need for business and ease of use.
The only feature I really need that it currently lacks is compatibility with PayPal Here. For now, I can't use the card reader, so the process of taking credit cards is tedious. I hope you update the software soon!
Otherwise, it's perfect!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by KeyboardUser Good but could use some tweaks
A good basic smart phone. Lighter than my last phone (also one with a slide-out keyboard) and seems to have better battery life. Also more flexible in letting the user skip back and forth between apps, calls, emails, etc.
But here's what bugs me:
(1) there is no way to mark an email "unread" from inside the email. One has to exit the email, find it again in the list of emails (which I prefer to sort by read/unread, so the newly read email isn't right there any more once I exit it), and then mark it unread from outside of it. EVERY other email system I have used has allowed for marking an email unread while it is open. There needs to be a software change to FIX THIS!!!
(2) The keyboard light sometimes doesn't come on and certainly won't stay on. There is a setting to keep other lights on indefinitely but not, that I can find, one that controls the keyboard light. Most frustrating, the keyboard won't light when the phone is locked, so one has to pick out the keys to unlock the phone without the keyboard light.
(3) Periodically when typing an email I get an error message that the LG keyboard has stopped working and have to hit "ok" whereupon everything is normal again. But no idea why this keeps happening.
(4) There is no "forward" command in the built-in browser - but this may be a feature of the browser software rather than a phone thing.
I'd probably still buy the phone again, since I want a physical keyboard and the only other option my carrier offers (a phone made by another maker) seemed to be an unreliable piece of equipment (requiring 3 warranty replacements while I had it).
But a bit of tinkering to fix the above problems would make the Enact SO much better.
