Best Features: 4G Network is as fast as advertised
Cons: Battery Life, No Skype
"Here is a real review that you won't read anywhere else, and I'm shocked no one has mentioned anything below...
I held onto my old phone for 4 years before finally giving into the Smartphone craze. After much research and partial favoritism to LG I thought that this phone was going to be amazing--BUT I WAS WRONG!!
I assumed that because this was the 3rd or 4th 4G phone on the market, LG would work out all the kinks, and would be the perfect smartphone. But after a few days and now a few weeks I've grown to dislike my phone here is why:
-Every review I read on this phone stated that it would be compatible with Skype Mobile. However you can only make voice calls and NOT video chat. This phone has a front facing camera, that is now completely useless! I'm not a 15 yr old girl and don't use the front facing camera to take a bunch of pics of myself. So what good is this front facing camera?!
-I have yet to find a "Flashlight" app that is compatible with the phone [I've downloaded 5].
-Battery life is wimpy, mostly due to apps that still run in the background no matter if you have a "app killer" installed. 4 hours off a charge and you will be running to the nearest outlet. So be prepared to invest in a car charger
-The keyboard layout is horrible. There is not a comma, or question mark key on the home keyboard, but there is a voice record key, a language key, and a Enter key-WTF? This makes the spacebar key smaller and hard to quickly text.
-The only thing I do like about this phone is that the 4G network is very fast and noticeably faster than 3G. However 4G is only available in certain areas.
This phone is "ok" however not good enough to compete with other smartphones"

Good Phone
Date:May 29, 2011
Best Features: display, ease of use, UI, build quality
Cons: 5 MP camera, keyboard(downloaded gingerbread keyboard), battery life
"I purchased this phone the day it came out. so far i'm happy with the phone, upgraded from the original droid and this is a big improvement. great display and i like the UI. the phone feels good in the hand, good build quality, feels solid. the processor works well, haven't had any freeze ups and only a little lag from time to time but usually pretty smooth. the apps page has catagories you can expand and minimize and you can add more catagories and move your apps between them which is good for me because i cover my home screens in large widgets. in response to the other review you can change out all your icons its not hard to figure out. as far as battery life, it's a little shorter than i got on my droid and i don't have 4G in my area yet so it will get worse. all in all i'm happy with the phone."

love it!
Date:May 29, 2011
Best Features: ease of use
Cons: battery
"I was amazed at the apps ready to use and the setup and menu button for every page you are on makes it easy to use (you don't have to remember where it is or need to go to settings page) The battery life is the same as all 3&4G smartphones the more you play the more you pay(battery life) Once you are finished downloading all the apps you want it wont take as much battery power. I love it and LG always puts out a great products. If you are seriously looking for a 4G phone check out all the specs and read about all the things you can do."
