THE EXPERIMENT BLEW UP IN THEIR FACE!
Date:July 24, 2011
Best Features: Style/Design, Features/Settings
"I decided to purchase this phone last year, March 2010 and have had problems with it ever since. I've had to replace the battery twice and the entire phone once. It was a great little phone the first few months I had it but then it just turned into a huge pain. The touch screen isn't very responsive and the built-in camera is not easy to use at all as it uses flash and the flash is literally blinding. The pictures do not turn out good at all. The graphics are ok, they aren't great and when taping video, very rarely does the sound get captured. I would, however, give this phone 5-stars on its QWERTY keyboard that flips out when you need to text message someone. The keyboard is very easy to use and fits even the biggest of fingers easily - very rarely do I make a mistake when typing. It has some good features like a tip calculator, a calendar, and the option to set the ringtone to vibrate only which comes in handy when I'm at work. Overall, I would not recommend this phone. The charger is very sensitive, too sensitive, and breaks very easily. The screen goes out all the time and the battery dies very easily. LG is a great company but not for this phone. Go with something else!"

"I have had this phone for about 1.5 yrs now. This is my 3rd handset I have been through and there is no fixing this phone. I had the LG Scoop before I traded up to a touch screen and KNEW better than to get an LG because they are not worth ANYTHING, but I did this one anyway. BIG mistake. Here is my list of what it does: Randomly turns itself off (sometimes back on too), screen changes to multi funky colors when text received, tap browser to get online & it restarts (at least 2x a day), A key on the inside keypad doesn't work, freezes on inside & outside screens, buttons to reply, etc go away if you receive a text while on the internet, randomly changes my sound settings, stopped reading my micro SD card and you want the big kicker?? DELETED ALL OF MY MEDIA on my SD card (300+ photos, videos & sounds)!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I have to go and spend extra money on image recovery software and hope that I can get back all those pictures of my nieces, nephews, dogs, fiancee, etc... I am beyond upset and LG will be getting a written letter to their headquarters. I will never buy another LG product and I will advise anyone I know to not purchase any of their products.

Didn't Last

"Initially a very nice phone, very easy to use with excellent sound and signal strength. However, after having it less than a year, it began to turn itself off and on, sometimes in the middle of conversations, and then would turn itself off any time my wife tried to access messaging. We took it to the dealer, and they replaced it with a phone that had a newer version of the operating software. It lasted for about a year and is back to turning off automatically again, and the screen constantly locks up, forcing the phone to have to be turned off and back on again. Loved the features, but it has turned out to be a terrible phone."

Can't get one to work for too long
Date:June 3, 2011
Best Features: easy to use
"First let me say that I really do like this phone. I have 3 phone lines on my Verizon account and all 3 of us have this phone. I am on my 2nd replacement device, daughter #1 is on her 3rd replacement device and daughter #2 is on her 2nd replacement device for THIS phone. All 3 of us have had our phone screen freeze up. When that happens; nothing works- buttons too. At that time the only way we can shut off our phones is to take the battery out. Our wireless provider, Verizon, will replace the phone for us- we get a reconditioned LG Env touch and for all 3 of us the replacement phones have stopped working within a week or so of receiving them. I just don't get it!!! Arrrggg"
