Wish I Love Chocolate
Date:November 16, 2010
Best Features: easy to use
"I have had an LG Chocolate Touch since March 2010. I am on my 3rd one & getting ready to get another. I love the looks, easy of use & features. The darn thing just doesn't hold up - and I am easy on phones! First the speakers blew out. Now the phone shuts off when ever it wants, the camera doesn't work (great pictures when it did) The problems just keep on coming."

Almost A Good Phone...
Date:October 11, 2010
Best Features: Features/Settings
"If it didn't miss a few features, and didn't have touch problems, this would be an amazing phone for the price.
With a media card, it can be a good portable music device. The 3.2 MP camera is decent in general. Slim design, user friendly phone.
However, at times, my phone doesn't respond when I press buttons on the touch screen, and other times it goes crazy, pressing buttons erratically, and there's no way I can stop it but shut it off.
It's menu is pretty good, and it has a few cool features, like: Drawing Pad, which lets you draw and send, it has cool camera features, such as: panorama shooting, different shutter sounds, etc. The camera has decent quality, good enough to view on a computer screen. However, it lacks focus, so close up photos are blurry. The camera is pretty slow to load, and when taking pictures, you must press the shoot button ahead of time, it takes it about 1 to 2 seconds to respond. Then, it takes a few seconds to save the picture, before you can take the next one, so you might miss what you were trying to capture.
When managing the memory, the phone doesn't offer any other option but to move a file from the memory card to the phone, or vice-versa. It would be ideal to be able to play an audio file or video, or preview a picture while in that menu.
Another feature that is missing is not being able to set individual alerts for contacts. Also, even though you can assign a picture ID for your contact, it is very small, hard to see, and the worst of all, it is not displayed during a call. On the other side, the phone displays timers during phone calls, and call times in the call menu.
A great inconvenience is that if you are using a blue-tooth headset, and have the phone with the screen locked in your pocket, the phone will unlock the screen after you finish your conversation and hand up! That's ridiculous. Your phone is put away, and you are using the blue-tooth controls to make and end calls. Why does the phone unlock when you are done? It just causes more problems by pressing stuff while you're not aware.
It has a nice media player that takes a bit to load, then it has a virtual drum set and piano you can play along with your music, which is pretty cool for a whole one minute. It responds very slowly, and you can never have good timing trying to play with your music.
Just a few weeks ago, I tried to call someone in my contacts, and realized that all contacts from A to C were gone. The phone had a glitch and just erased them all. Later, my Favorites (quick dial) list got reset! Then, I noticed that contacts lost their assigned ring tones or picture ID's. So this phone just goes crazy doing stuff on its own. From this point of view it is very unreliable!"
