My time with Dare
Date:October 28, 2009
Best Features: Features/Settings, easy to use, Style/Design
Cons: no installed games, battery life is lousy when using bluetooth, minor glitches
"I personally thought the Dare was a good phone but not excellent because it didn't have anything besides the touch screen that made it stand out. I like the ease of use and the camera takes very good pictures in optimal lighting. The touch qwerty pad was a good feature but it didn't work with me because I had a hard time trying to hit the letter I wanted. Some of the factors that disappointed me was the minor glitches on the phone. I have had the phone for about a year and I have had to get it replaced twice and I'm still having some issues. When I returned it the first time, the problem was when connected to bluetooth earphone, the screen sometimes would go black and not come back until I hung up. The other time, the touch pad lock wouldn't activate and the screen wouldn't go dark. Because of this, my battery would only last me half a day with minimal use. The phone I have now doesn't seem to have those problems but often times the buttons seem to be slow to react. When I try to see the list of recent calls by pressing the send button, the list will not come up and I have to push the end button and repress the send button. Then the list comes up after a little while. I think the problem may be with the OS. These flaws may not seem major, but they do create an inconvenience during everyday use. As much as I like the Dare, I only give it a Good rating because of these flaws."

LG Dare 9700
Date:October 27, 2009
Best Features: Quality, Features/Settings, easy to use, Performance, Style/Design
"I am extremely impressed with the Dare it is very user friendly, all menus are easy to access and you can drag and drop the ones you use most to the main screen of the phone. You can access nine more functions on the second main screen. Texting in very easy and just the right sensitivity. I like the four different contact list choices for the phone numbers and it is very easy to input new phone numbers and names into the phone. The voice dialing takes a little bit of trial and error to get the hang of it but once you have it figured out you can both speak numbers into the phone and recall stored numbers from the phone with no effort. In short there really isn't a negative about this phone. Phone clarity is of the highest quality and you won't lose any calls. the speaker phone function works very well on both ends too. I have had several phones and this is the best one so far."

Amazing phone with GREAT camera
Date:October 27, 2009
Best Features: Quality, Features/Settings, easy to use, Performance, Style/Design
"I travel across the US a lot for my job, however I don't normally take a camera with me. But when I come across something that I think is really worth while of taking a picture, this phone never lets me down. It takes unbelievable pictures and the quality will allow you to blow them up to a larger size as well.
It also has tremendous antenna signal and rarely drops a call. I think the dropped calls have more to do with location than the phone.
It couldn't be easier to use, especially for a touch phone without buttons. I thinkt he layout is great, especially being able to add shortcuts to your home page. Makes it really quick and easy to navigate to your features you use the most.
I have reccommended that many of friends get this phone and so far not a one has been disappointed with the overall quality, function, or design of the phone. The only downfall is I wish you could download apps, other than that I DEFINITELY reccomend getting one!!!"

I dare u!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Date:October 15, 2009
Best Features: Style/Design
Cons: locks up & hard to hear
"I'm on my third dare in less than a year. Can't wait to upgrade to something else. The phone most of the time I have to repeat myself because no one can hear me, if I'm using the navigation and don't answer an incoming call the phone locks up and the ONLY WAY TO UNLOCK IT is to take the battery out for a second and put it back. It has too many drop calls to count. When you try to take a picture it always want to take a video.Like all things there is always a lemon, but three WOW!!!!!!! LG needs to take it back to the drawing board."
