It has the power and capabilities of a large unit. LG has managed to condense everything into this sleek unit, large dinner plates fit fine. The touch pad is hidden so it compliments my other LG appliances but it is easy to use with finger touch controls. It looks expensive, works great and cleans easily because of the rounded interior design.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quiet and Attractive I have had this microwave for just one day; so I cannot speak of reliability. When our old oven died I spent a morning online looking for a replacement. One quality I wanted was less noisy operation. The old microwave rattled as the turntable rotated. A very irritating sound that existed from day one. A second issue was the six loud beeps that signaled end of cooking. Of course, there was no way to reduce the number of beeps, or to reduce their volume. The new LG oven has brief, musical notes that play at a modest volume. It is perfect for us! The (mostly) hidden controls make the oven look better than the old one, which had all controls out in the open. The LG has minimal controls on the glass front for start/stop and cooking time. Those are what we use 99% of the time. I rate the oven at four stars at this time. After some months, I plan to update my review, as I gain confidence in its reliability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the best on We searched all over to find a microwave with the "sensor reheat" feature. It does a fabulous job of warming our leftovers without having to tell it what you are reheating. I wanted to find a microwave with the "roll-muffin" setting which I had on the old one but couldn't find it with any brand. However we are finding that the "soften butter" setting does a pretty good job

Is the specified width (18.7) with door open or closed ? Asking as there appears additional space required for door 'overhang' with the door open.
