Love this microwave
I've had my Neo Chef countertop smart inverter microwave almost a week now. I really like it. I have defrosted and baked a 5 pound chicken. It turned out very moist and tasty. It didn't get as brown as I thought it would. Maybe if I had it on a higher power setting it would have gotten more brown but then would it have been as moist as it was. It would be nice to have a cooking chart included with the microwave telling how long to cook meats. Popped popcorn on the popcorn button but I had to stop it before it was finished. The microwave cooks a lot faster than most so you have to really watch it. It is quieter than most. I've cooked oats and cream of wheat and reheated numerous dishes. I do miss my number pad but I'm sure I will get used to it. The kitchen timer is very nice to have. It was very easy to clean. I would recommend this to a friend.

Great power
The look of this oven is very modern and sophisticated. There are no large numbers on the face to make it antiquated looking. It's very efficient and easy to use. While baking, I was able to quickly soften butter in under 10 seconds. Cooking baked potatoes was a swift 5 minutes.

High Quality.....Great Features
Upon opening the microwave the for thing that struck me is how attractive looking the microwave is. The soft tones when finished cooking is was a very pleasant surprise as opposed to the harsh beeping of most microwaves. Heat and cooks very well taking less time to do so than my last microwave. I like that the buttons are hidden, makes for a sleeker looking oven. The LED lighting is bright and lets you really see your food. The 6 point wheel also lets you place a heavy item anywhere in the microwave and not have to fear of it tipping over.

Still getting used to it.
I am confused by some of the features. I have never had a microwave that did not light up on the door. I have to open the door to use. I was told it was energy saving so I guess I will get used to it sooner or later. Other than that it is a great working and quite nice looking product. I just have to get up with the times I guess. I also like the rounded corners inside that make it much easier to clean without things being stuck in the corners. Nice feature.

love it!
I love the look 1st of all. I love a white kitchen & found this one and was so surprised to see the luxurious interior, which is a stunning grey. We also love how most of the menu tabs are only viewable after opening the door. Very classy looking. Only a stop, quick start and convenient time slider show on the front. I admit I haven't yet taken the time to see how everything works but I can heat up a frozen meal and use the reheat sensor for last night's take out. Which brings me to the power of this baby...wow...unreal. I've never owned a microwave that produced as much power as this one. So get those pot holders ready you will need them. I'm so in love with this product. Now I just need to read the owners manual so I can figure everything out. I don't recall what we paid but it was on sale at Best Buy...whatever the price it was worth every penny as we use the microwave a lot in our house.

Great sounds!!!
My adult son said our new microwave was the best one he had ever used. They all heat ok but this one communicates with soft musical tones that do not irritate. He loved how it was designed with simple operation. It was easy to understand and follow. We all love the soft tones.

Sleek and simple
This is the microwave we have all been waiting for, the one that will get us through the next century or so until we all have Star Trek-style food fabricators.
I've owned and loved this magical device for only 24 hours or so, and so far it has delivered and delighted.
I bought the black oven to match our kitchen, but I saw the white and stainless steel models at Best Buy, and they're also really nice. On the black and white models, the sides and top have a sturdy textured powder-coated finish. The stainless steel has a smoother textured brown-gray painted finish, which is also nice.
The door and handle are minimalist, which is a nice contrast to the usual scattering of mostly-useless buttons. There are multiple ways to input cooking time -- slider, Start button (30 seconds), and buttons under the door.
This oven is full of truly useful features, too many to describe here. (Read the manual for details.)
The LED light looks ghostly, but it really lights up your food. The various tones are a pleasant improvement over beeps. (Although, be forewarned, if you're hearing-impaired like my husband, you'll definitely need a smartphone or a kitchen timer as a backup, and there's no way to adjust volume.) Cooking operation is pretty quiet.
I haven't done a lot of cooking yet, but I did experiment some with oatmeal this morning, and my husband warmed up some soup today. It cooks oatmeal without boiling it over, which was freaking fantastic. (Do you know how many times I've scrubbed oatmeal off the turntable of my old microwave because I took my eyes off my cooking for just 30 seconds??? Now, I can just slam the sensor to S5 and walk away...)
Will try to remember to update this review if anything goes wrong in the future, but so far, so good...

For the LG microwave oven model number, LMC1575ST, I have two questions... First, Under what circumstances is he oven light energized? Second, Can the "End of cooking cycle buzzer be defeated for all subsequent cooking tasks?
The interior light in the LG 1.5 cu. ft. NeoChef™ Countertop Microwave with Smart Inverter and EasyClean®, Model # LMC1575ST will turn on when the door is opened and when you press Start to initiate cooking and stay on during cooking. The audible signals that guide you when setting and using the oven each time you touch a key, when the oven is signalling the end of a Timer countdown and to signal the end of a cooking cycle are not defeatable...^IFV

Does it have melting function?
The LG 1.5 cu. ft. NeoChef™ Countertop Microwave with Smart Inverter and EasyClean®, Model # LMC1575ST doesn't have a specific 'Melting Function', but it does have Power Levels. The power levels are expressed as percentages ranging from P-10 to P-HI (P-10 being 10% and P-HI being 100%) If you are looking to melt chocolate, you can set the power to P-70 and if you are looking to soften butter or cream cheese, you would set it at P-20 or P-10...^IFV
