What People Are Saying

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 201 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Stopped heating a year later. Worked great up until a few days ago when it just stopped heating and started making a loud noise. Warranty is no longer valid and finding someone in the area that fixes LG appliances is nearly impossible. Eventually, paying to repair makes no sense considering the price that was originally paid to purchase the appliance. Might as well buy a new one. If it breaks down good luck finding a place that can fix it for a reasonable price. July 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by WOW!!! I bought this without seeing one. I evaluated various microwaves online and decided on this one. Some of the features are not described at all or not in enough detail online (Home Depot or Lowe's websites). As a result, I am constantly very pleasantly surprised as I learn to use it to its full capabilities. I LOVE THIS MICROWAVE! The first surprise was the built-in shelf under the oven that comes out when you push on it. It is very, very useful when removing something that you need to get out of your hands quickly. The only negative about this shelf is that it does not come out as far as I would like it to. I LOVE THIS MICROWAVE! The Re-Heat feature shows a list of numbered items, i.e., "Dinner Plate. Pizza Slice," etc. Once you select the item that best fits what you are re-heating, the microwave starts by itself and heats the item to perfection. It's not too petrified or too cold. It is perfect. I LOVE THIS MICROWAVE! The "Keep Warm" feature is absolutely ingenious for those of us who multi-task and need to use this rather than cook it again, because we weren't ready when it was. Cooking it again can ruin it. I LOVE THIS MICROWAVE! A list of items to select from appears when you push the "Cook" button. One is "Baked Potato," and the potato comes out with the feel and taste of a baked potato; not a microwaved potato pretending to be a baked potato. They are never too done or not done enough. I really think there is a little genie in there somewhere making sure everything is cooked or heated to perfection, regardless of the size; even popcorn. And there's more to love about it!!!! Did I mention I LOVE THIS MICROWAVE!? I am 69 and have had many-a-microwave in those years, and THIS IS THE BEST - BY FAR!!!! March 19, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Feature I like the ability to soften my butter for baking in the microwave. It is programmed for butter and then you add the number of sticks you are working with. February 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cool features- This over the range microwave is very nice. The best thing has to be the extendable fan hood. The extension works well to keep steam and other vapors from the microwave face. it extends to cover all the burners of the range below. Also, the popcorn button is spot on. It's a real nice unit. Rated 3 out of 5 by Already concerned! Love the features, however the jury is still out on machine itself, the popcorn button seems to be set for too long and burns the popcorn also the fan is already making noise. and I need to have service come look at it. I've only had machine about a month. Fan works great though and the extend feature is definitely a bonus. November 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this microwave Works great, Looks good, Love the extenda vent! It is so nice that the steam stays off the front of the microwave with the extending vent option. Best idea ever. Oven cooks evenly. would buy it again. December 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good looking with great features When I purchased this microwave, I was pleasantly surprised when I first powered up the microwave. It was so quiet that I wasn't sure if it was on or not. I have never has such a quiet unit. In addition the stove top lights are positioned for great light coverage. A great plus in a dark kitchen. But the greatest feature of all is the pull out vent hood. I can now cover the entire range with a vent hood . It is not the least expensive unit on the market, but I believe that the style and features make it a good buy for the money. December 17, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by NOT SO GOOD BUT A GOOD IDEA To bad it didn't work as advertised .For having extend a vent still has a weak blower . Doesn't have good suction it sounds strong but no suction . November 11, 2014

Answer:
Press the COOK TIME button, on the keypad. Enter the length of the cooking time that you desire. Next, press the POWER LEVEL button. Each number on the keypad will be representative of 10% (1=10%, 5=50%, etc.). Finally, press the START/ENTER button to begin cooking.

My turntable quit so I checked voltage at the motor and am reading zero volts whether system is active or idle. I assume there are fuses located somewhere within the oven unit.

Answer:
The LG USA website and manual says 30 inches from the top of the microwave (very top) and the stove. I would also measure your big pots for clearance assurance.

Answer:
Hello Yvon,
usually the distance will be given by your stove top manual but a minimum of 30" would be a good rule of thumb.

Answer:
Anytime you choose to replace any of the lamps, it is recommended to unplug the unit, to prevent electric shock. For the cooktop light, remove the lamp cover mounting screws, and then replace the bulbs with 20w – 40w appliance bulbs. Finally, replace the lamp cover and the mounting screws. For the interior oven lamp, open the door and remove the vent grille mounting screw. Slide the grille to the left, and then tip the cover forward, and lift it out of the oven. Remove the bulb-holder mounting screw, and then lift up the bulb holder that you wish to replace. Replace the lamp with a 30w appliance bulb. Return all the pieces to their original place, and then, on both methods, reconnect the power to the unit.
