Great Microwave
This microwave oven is exactly what we were looking for. It was easy to install, however LG should include easier templates. The templates are made of thin paper and cut very easily. As a result, the paper bends and rips very easily and you have to keep adjusting it multiple times to get it into the right place. The box that that the microwave is shipped in, is more than large enough to include thicker templates that are easier to type into place.

Poor finish on front surface Slide Out Vent Tray.
Finish on front surface vent pull out tray peeled off when protective film was removed during installation . Otherwise microwave works well. I have reported to Appliances Connection.

Best ever
This microwave cooks and warms food better than any microwave I've ever owned. I have the black stainless and it looks great, too. I never liked the plain stainless steel. This product works great with my black appliances which I will be upgrading to black stainless.

This is the 3rd LG microwave I have purchased in the last 11 years. I purchase the 5 year warranty every time. It seem once the warranty runs out it stops working. The only reason I purchase another one is because it matches my other appliances. Not happy that they fail so fast and I get NO assistance from LG.

Love the slide out hood.
This is my 2nd LG, over the range microwave with the slide out hood. I enjoyed my previous microwave and I was surprised when it went out. It just stopped working. It was purchased Jan 12, 2012 and my maintenance contract with Sears ended Jan 12, 2017. I expected the life expectancy to be longer and I guess I could have tried to get it fixed but I estimated the cost for a service order, time it would be down if we had to order parts and the cost of the parts, I may just want to get a newer one. I checked several retailers for my LG microwave with the extended hood and found not all the stores carried this model, I checked several stores, I found one store but they did not install. I had to keep searching and was happy to find it and they offered installation.
I like the new microwave so far but question, why the programs was placed on the door and not on the side as previous designs. Having the program on the door makes it harder to look inside and check your dish as it is being cooked. Considering this is over the range microwave, the height to view inside is very inconvenient and with the program on the door to which it covers about 1/4 view of the glass door, in my opinion is a poor design of the microwave. On the side of the handle is wasted, unserviceable, functional space.
I just had the microwave installed today and hope it is as great as my previous
LG microwave.
Look forward to using it and happy to have it.

Died in two days
Used twice before display died. No beeps nada. Only showed twould dots on display. Spencers replaced with no problem.

What is the total height from top of microwave to bottom of fan and light pull out
The height listed under 'Dimensions' in the specifications for the LG LG Black Stainless Steel Series 2.2 cu.ft. Over-the-Range Microwave Oven, Model # LMHM2237BD ( W x H x D - 29 7/8" x 17 15/16" x 15 7/8") is the height from top to bottom when the ExtendaVent™ 2.0. is in the closed position. We are not clear on what you are referring to as the "bottom of fan and light pull out" and if our response has not answered your inquiry, please clarify your inquiry so that we can answer it appropriately...^IFV

We're remodeling our kitchen. The cabinets will not be ready for a few weeks. Can we use this microwave on a countertop in the meantime? Will there be any problems with the ventilation?
We appreciate your interest in this microwave oven. It is not recommended to operate this device while it is on a countertop surface. The circulating fan draws air from under the microwave cabinet.

Does this model have a filler kit to Fit above A 36" range?
From my research, I have not found a filler kit for the LMHM2237ST. We have a 36" cooktop and the cabinet maker made our cabinet 36".

How can I vent outside an LG 2.2 Capacity Over the Range Microwave with Slide-out Vent LMHM2237ST?
We appreciate your interest in this microwave oven. The exhaust fan has 3 venting options available: UP, BACK, or FORWARD into the room. Specifics about these options can be found in the installation guide provided with the machine.

I purchased model LMHM2237BD from HH Gregg and they did not supply the installation hardware. How can I get the installation hardware?

My clock display vanishes after 5 minutes even when I use the CUSTOM SET button , press 2 for clock on/off then press 1 for clock on . Any suggestions??
