The minimum clearance spacing between the bottom of the LG 1.7 cu.ft. Over-the-Range Microwave Oven, Model # LMV1762ST and the cooktop surface of The a range oven is expressed in one of two ways. One way it is expressed is that the minimum is 30" between the Cooktop surface and the bottom of the upper cabinets that the unit is to be installed in before installation. That usually is a minimum distance of between 13" to 16" depending on the height of the unit. The other way is to subtract the height of the unit from that 30" minimum for the upper cabinet requirement which works out to a minimum of 13 9/16" for this unit...^IFV

The specs say that the microwave has a timer. How do you use the timer? There are no instructions in the owner manual.
We appreciate your interest in this microwave oven. The note on page 14 of the owner’s manual states, “Once the cook time has been entered, you can also use the Power Level pad as a second Kitchen Timer by entering ‘0’ for the Cook Power. The oven will count down the cooking time you set without cooking.”

Is there a trim kit to fit the microwave Model #LMV1762ST?

We noticed that the element at the top of microwave LMV 1762SB which we've had for just over a year has a hole burnt in it. The round white element one spot burn hole is th his repairable??

Can this microwave be used inside a base cabinet? We are redoing our kitchen and want to relocate our microwave to the island instead of above the cooktop. I noticed the ventilation is on top.
I apologize, but no; it is not recommended to install this microwave in any manner contrary to that which is described in the Installation Guide. To do so can result in improper operations of the device, and can void the manufacturer’s warranty.
