Good quality and very quiet
I bought this to replace another microwave. This LG model is super quiet, both during cooking and when using the fan for ventilation. The sensor for reheating and cooking works extremely well. The "turntable off" feature is great for large dishes. I do wish that the lights (both interior and exterior) were a bit brighter.

Disappointed
I just had my microwave installed and I am disappointed that the inside is dark and I can look,inside and see how the food is cooking. If I could return it I would and purchase another model.

Installation
I love this microwave. I have two complaints, 1) there are no quick start buttons and 2) THE INSTALLATION WAS A HUGE PAIN IN THE REAR!! Directions were not very specific at all! It took my husband 3 1/2 hours to install , total nightmare.

Very Nice Microwave
This is a very nice microwave, although perhaps a bit more pricey than comparable units. We bought while purchasing other kitchen appliances to match color (black stainless). Pretty easy to mount, although we potentially had less clearance than most installations due to granite backsplash installed previously very close to former microwave (which was just a little smaller in dimensions). But we got it to fit. Seems to work well. It does appear to cook much faster/hotter than our former unit. Was surprised the first time I cooked a couple of items that I knew exactly what I'd cook them on with the former unit, and they got much hotter/faster with this unit. Unit has an energy button, which from the instructions just appears to turn off the display to save electricity. However, next usage it turns back on, so you need to remember to always push that button if wanting to save energy. Seems like that ought to be a setting you can make permanent if desired. All the various reheat and cook categories are nice, however perhaps would have been better to display the categories on the screen instead of just using a number mechanism that you then have to reference a chart with (unless you memorize them!). There is a chart inside the microwave, so at least you don't need to keep the manual always nearby. It does appear to be a bit deeper than my previous unit - glass tray is larger. Does have a lot of features - time will tell whether we actually use them or just enter time and level. Perhaps since this one seems to heat faster, using the categories may be more accurate than our guesses. Currently can recommend this product.

It's OK
It looks nice and work but not the greatest design. You can really see what is cooking at all. It's to dim and the viewing window looks like it is large from the outside but it is really not. It's only about the top 1/2 of the black shaded area that looks like the window on the outside. Also the display seems to have some issues. I exchange one but it does the same thing. When you turn on the light it will only show the first letter or so when it should scroll light high or light low. For the price I would have expected it to be a better design.

Solid Microwave
It's not great but it is good. The sensor cooking settings are fantastic and it is fortunately easy to service as I have had to replace thermal fuses a couple of times. It is big and it cooks well just be ready to replace a few parts.

I just bought the microwave from a friend but the wall mounting bracket is missing. Where can I find the bracket at to purchase, or a comparable bracket that would fit?

I just looked at all this and also downloaded the installation instructions and nothing talks about the room venting requirements. I guess the main question is what is the minimum depth out from the back wall with a cabinet above for a room venting insta
We appreciate your interest in this over the range microwave oven. Room venting is the default setting for this model. No rear depth is required since the room venting blows through the front of the cabinet. It is for such reasons that this was not listed in the owner’s manual.

Can I install it on the wall (kitchen cabinet) ??
2.0 cu.ft. Over-the-Range Microwave Oven with EasyClean®, Model # LMV2031BD can be mounted against a flat, vertical wall, so it is supported by the wall. The wall should be constructed of
minimum 2" x 4" wood studding and 3/8" thick drywall or plaster/lath. BE SURE the upper cabinet and rear wall structures can support 150 lbs., plus the weight of any items you place inside the oven or upper cabinet. An installation manual is supplied with the unit that details the minimum distance required between the microwave and the Cooktop surface or Countertop...^IFV

Top mounting screws strip. I can't find any that don't and am stuck. Now one has dislodged the recieving nut in the microwave.

What is the standard height between bottom of microwave and top of stove
The recommended clearance spacing is a minimum of 30" between your cooktop/countertop surface and the bottom of the upper cabinet that the LG 2.0 cu.ft. Over-the-Range Microwave Oven with EasyClean®, Model # LMV2031SB will be installed in before installation. That usually works out to between 13"-16" depending on the height of the microwave. For this particular model which has a height of 16 7/16", that will be a distance of 13 9/16" between the bottom of the microwave and the cooktop surface...^IFV

I just bought a lg lmv2031st over the range microwave today from Bestbuy. It was a display model because it was the only one they had....its very nice and works great but the cook top light underneath does not work. Can you tell me the voltage?

The watt rating of the cooktop bulb is?
Page 27 of the owner's manual for the LG 2.0 cu.ft. Over-the-Range Microwave Oven with EasyClean®, Model # LMV2031ST describes the bulb as a 30 watt appliance bulb. If unsure, the wattage and voltage ratings should be on the bulb...^IFV
